Mine does it too. Very mild clunk at low speed over minor bumps. I don't notice it over speed bumps or at speed.
I signed for my black TRD Pro last week. I was told that it was in port and that it should be in sometime this week. The dealer called me and told me that the delivery of the vehicle was delayed because "they are waiting for parts at port." He told me that some of the TRD Pro parts are assembled at port, specifically mine is waiting on the skid plate.
Is it true that some parts are put on at port? I just never heard of something like that. I assumed that the vehicle was shipped to port fully assembled. What do you guys think?
Tried searching - could not find anything on this topic.
I just got my TRDPro a couple weeks ago and noticed that when I go over larger bumps - like a speed bump - there is a bit of a clunk coming from the front of the truck. Totally gone over standard road bumps. I'm not sure if I am being hypersensitive or maybe it is "normal" for this suspension.
Anyone else experience this?
Thanks guys.
I have had my TRDP back at the dealership twice to have 2 different Master Techs check this issue out. The sound ranges from a "clunk" to a "rattle", depending on terrain and speed. It is really pronounced if you drive over something like a grassy field or gravel driveway.
After the techs put it on the rack and checked the torque of every suspension related piece of hardware, they came to the conclusion that it is "normal".
Is it worth trading in my new '14 SR5 Premium for a TRD Pro? Or swap out my rims/tires/shocks for the same thing the Pro has? Where's the best place to purchase everything? Do I try and sell my original rims/tires/shocks online ?

Similar here, more pronounced on the driver side. while turning. Less when the wheels are straight. Ironically, I hear/feel it more over smaller pothole's vs larger bumps.
You would take a royal beating if you traded in your '14'. Just a guess....25% depreciation loss (?). Build it yourself & you can sell your originals online.
Yes, same here smaller bumps are more pronounced.

My Stormtrooped wrapped TRDP!
That's awesome -- I was thinking about doing the same with my Inferno!
OK. You do it first and I'll see if I like it.
I think if you add more black to the front you need to add black wheel wells...either wrap them somehow or put on those ones with the rivets (sorry, can't recall the brand). Also wrap your door handles and rear spoiler.

This makes me think that it may not be suspension related - rather maybe the calipers or exhaust. This may explain why it is only certain kinds of bumps rather than all bumps.
Do you know if the mechanics looked outside the suspension for this problem?
Thanks
