I'm actually glad it doesn't have a moonroof. A solid roof should never leak, a full length roof rack won't cover up a nonexistent window, and the truck is already loud enough on the road imo.

I always had my moonroof open and the rear glass cracked. Perfect air conditioning. Loved it.

They do make them. They are just hard to come by.

The pro does add value, just by the name alone. Doesn't matter what anyone here says. Most buyers are not members of forums and basic thinking that a pro must be better than a non pro. There might be 100 TE 4runners for sale and 1 TRDPRO. Supply and demand may also keep the value of the pro higher.

You just keep thinking that man. Example: In 10 years I have two 4Runners. One is a TE Premium with 150K miles and normal wear and tear. One is a TRD Pro with 150K miles and normal wear and tear. Both are unmodded. The only difference in price will be a percentage of the difference in the original list price, not because it is "rare." Unless, as I said above, that "one guy" who has been saving his pennies for ten years to get his perfect dream vehicle is the one buying it. In that case though he will pay more for anything, not just a TRD Pro 4Runner. In 99.9% of the cases it is the condition, mileage and location of a vehicle that drives used vehicle price, not rarity. Don't believe me? Go to Autotrader. Go to Edmunds. Go to Cars.com. Go to KBB. Condition, mileage and location. Nothing else.

Let's take your example... one is a pro, one is a TE. Both the exact same condition and same mileage. Placing them for sale with the same price, I guarantee you that 99% would choose the pro...Just because it's a pro. With that said, raising the price of the pro might convince someone to "settle" for the TE. The stock pro looks better with the wheels, and color may be the inferno or sand which also will be a bottom line decision for the buyer. Do they want a white one? Or a rare inferno color? So even if everything is the same, they are not because of the name. What does the buyer know about what TE, LE, SR5 stand for? Most do not. But everyone knows a pro must be better than a non pro in some way... so I think this give the pro a little selling power over a non pro.

If you slid out more than an inch or two then you have a problem because VSC is not working properly.

In the conditions you describe above, your 4Runner should detect wheel spin and VSC should either apply brakes to the spinning wheel and then r e t a r d throttle if the braking action does not get output to match input.

It will fish tail a bit more on snowy or slick roads (maybe a foot or so) before being brought under control by your VSC.

I have basically caught it prior to it getting out to far and it's honestly hard to describe but it's almost like fish tailing and then it will start to push the front tires to break tread as well. I might need to take my foot out of it and I don't discount that as a possible issue also. :loco: I do know what you are saying about the VSC, the Tundra did the same thing but that hasn't happened just yet.

Hello everyone,

Just put finished the doing the paperwork on a 2016 white TRD Pro super white
I originally had a down payment on it, but wanted to go ahead and have the VIN and everything in my name before it came in(saw an issue on this forum where dealer wanted to renegotiate after arrived)

I Got $2500 off of the MSRP, but i had to get the remote start to get this discount($500) without remote start the discount was approx 2150,so for $149 more i figured, why not. (They noted that they pay $250 for remote start)

the truck originally came with every dealer add that the port installs, but i was able to remove everything since it hadn't hit the VPC, it actually hit the next day.

My Total before tax, with destination charge and all was 40,849
The options i have are
Sliding cargo deck $350, coudn't take this off it comes factory installed
Remote start $500

I called about 30 dealerships from California to Texas (im moving to cali in a few days)

Wide range of prices
Most wanted MSRP
Near Cali some asked for 3k+MSRP
found 3 or 4 total that offered below MSRP, discount range was between 1500-2700, I went with 2500 because it was so close.

apparently they are getting some more if yall are interested, let me know if yall are interested and i will ask the sales guy if its okay to run his name.

not sure if my deal was stellar, but im moving to Cali, and wanted something outdoorsy for the area, Currently have a 2014 GLK and its great on the road, but this thing will never see any trails.

That's why I decided to go with the inferno. The black and white ones are too easily replicated by the non pros. There's no confusing if an inferno is a pro or not.

We threw a brohole in our trdp, as well. $1k, thrown into financing and guaranteed by the dealership since it was their vendor. No close up of the roof, unfortunately.
