4runner TRD Pro

Thanks for giving me a kick out the door. Your suggestion, and that of others worked out surprisingly well. Had a great experience with a dealer up in North Carolina. If you live near those parts please go see Jerry Bass at Massey. Guy was super friendly and it was an immeasurably better experience than buying a car in Florida. Got the Cavalry Blue with a few options, (Predator Bars, clear paint protection and the phone cable package) for just under MSRP $45,347 at $44,998. All 4 black and white TRD Pro's within 500 miles of me were selling for $4-5k over MSRP. Took possession with 171 miles on the car and arrived 2 days later in my garage with 1171 miles. pretty funny. Had to drive around Hurricane Florence flooding because I-95 was flooded. The dealer even provided me with a box of supplies in the event that I got stuck. Absolutely love the car, the color blew me away in person. Never saw the blue except on the internet. The upgraded suspension is great on the road as the car has less body roll than my 2014 trail without KDSS. I dig the Nitto Tires. Got between 19.9-20.2 MPG for the whole trip, my KO2s usually got around 17 so thats good news as well. Im stoked with the Soft tex seats and automatic head lights. interesting point was my old usb port charged my phone, couldn't get the phone charged and had to use the cigarette lighter option. It did power a hard drive I had with me. Strange. Dont expect to get rid of this one anytime soon. Really happy with this decision. Thanks for your help guys. This forum rocks!
That sounds like a really cool dealer! Congrats on your new ride!

OK so what was the cutoff date to order a 2018 Cavalry Blue TRD Pro? I imagine it is too late for 2018 Pro except for those already on dealer lots?

IMO way too late. I bought mine last month with a build date of 6/2018, the 2019's started showing up with a build of 8/2019. Cars dot com shows 23 cavalry ones in ALL MILES right now. Not the authority, but it's been a pretty good tool/gauge on all my research leading up to my purchase. Good luck with what ever you are after.

Totally agree. All of the dealerships in Florida stated that they could neither order me the car in that color or trade for one. My friend who sells cars called about the 4 Cavalry blues in the South East Network and 3 had "Do Not Trade" indications, and the 4th wanted excessive money over MSRP to Trade. A dealership in Florida tried to sneak by me an order for a Voodoo Blue and I told them I wasn't interested in a 2019. I would travel if possible. Auto trader also had a few lightly used options around the country. Good luck I hope you get one. Almost everyone down here loves the color and comments on how unique it is. Those who don't like it, really don't like it. pretty funny.

Actually I want a 2019 but won’t be ready till June or July 2019. So, wondering when Inshould put the money down to place my order? Dealer says mid March 2019. Opinions?

Current configuration. Still trying to decide on which sliders to run and saving some pennies for the 40" BD light bar up top.

These things are holding their value like crazy. I was at the dealership this weekend and had them run some numbers out of curiosity, and the retail value of mine currently is a thousand less ($42k) than what I bought it for 3 years ago ($43k @msrp).

How many miles do you have on the odometer?

Got my wifes TRD Pro delivered last week with 2 miles on it. I only drove it about 8 miles but its pretty awesome! She loves it so far, MSRP find on cars.com thanks to a fellow forum member here. CA sucks for any type of limited production vehicles, I just went trough all this on my GT350R. Gotta love these forums for the help!

I was pretty set on getting a TRD off Road, similar to my 2014 Trail which was a super solid truck to begin with. When I started researching and saw the resale it made sense to just pay a bit more for something someone might really want down the road a bit.

I had my Tundra 7 years, only 45K miles.
Got $3K less in trade than I paid for it.

It sounds like it would be worth buying a TRD pro at MSRP and then driving it for 30k miles and then sell it back to dealer or some schmuck. That is if you can control yourself and not feed the mod monster!

Selling my 18 calvary blue for sticker if anyone wants to come to ohio and get it. I got a black one now. This is my 6th trd pro. Yeah im crazy. Its on ebay for 45k.
