I'm really interested to see what they come up with, but seriously even if they come out with a super charger explaining to my wife why I need to spend $6k for it is more of a challenge then getting toyota to develop the darn thing.

I'm hoping for something cool I will need to add to my truck though, haha, I'm a sucker for good marketing and shiny things to add to my truck.

More consistent power in the mountains... boom, justified!

If you were like me and you gave the government a big no-interest loan, you could just tell the wifey that you won't be getting anything back on the taxes this year and she'd never know.

Nice try, her response would be to take her Audi if I planned on driving that fast, and sadly I don't get tax refunds anymore.

Perhaps if you simply explained to her that it originally costed 10k, and now it's "only" 6k, she'll tell you to jump on that bargain ASAP. Dunno about your wife, but mine is a sucker for a good deal, lol.

Now we are getting somewhere, sounds like our wives are similar, but even still would be hard for me to part with the money for a super charger anyway. Especially since I'm eyeing a new roof rack, more led lights, a lift at some point, oh and a very expensive mountain bike habit.

Still a super charger would do very well with the driving at altitude as my wife's Audi does great in the mountains here with its turbo.

All assuming they actually come out with one, which could still be a dream, the reveal could be a dud in the end As many feel.

That bike habit is a nasty one. I have almost 3 superchargers worth of mountain bikes and road bikes in the garage. :lmao:

Fwiw, recieved info today (second hand but trusted) the unveil tomorrow will not specifically mention engine specs at this time. My #1 thing was if we could see a V8 as an option in this and I was told engine specs are to come later. Also production will begin in August. SO, I am not altering or delaying the Trail Premium I special ordered 2 weeks ago. Sorry, I was so bummed about the lack of engine info, I failed to quiz my source about just what else the TRD Pro did have. The bulk of that info is less than 24 hrs away so don't hate on me.

Home improvement projects and other expenses have been budgeted in terms of the # of bikes it costs me for years! New fence and RV pad cost me ~3.5 bikes last fall and it killed me! Carbon and Di2 is so much hotter than Trex and concrete...

Already have plans in the works for a new SW Tarmac SL4 this year and its just a pleasant surprise that those TRD Pro wheels will match it nicely. What's funny is my wife will ask how much the bikes cost me but a new set of TRD wheels will likely go unnoticed.

That's easy to fix! Just compare mountain bike cost to golf fees! I am getting a Farley - Trek Bicycle this spring and I have already told my wife the truth: It's only about half the cost of a season of golf! I used to play golf and got pretty good but man, talk about expensive! Yes, mountain bikes are much cheaper than golf.

Actually looking forward to today's reveal even if it's just badges and wheels.

Since there are two separate announcements, and the second one is Toyota Racing (which is where TRD is), that's when we might here of the new SC accessories. :noidea:

Late production points to a 2015 model.
