Two things. The crawl control and multitrac are part of the trail package and not with the optional KDSS, and second, the KDSS in any iteration does not use the multitrac for control, not sure where you got that idea.

2015 4Runner eBrochure Details
Ok, after reading all 77 pages of this topic and all the hubbub about no sunroof on the TRD Pro 4Runner I registered as a new member to post my findings.
I downloaded the newly posted 2015 Toyota 4Runner eBrochure from the Toyota website, there is a half page about the options the TRD Pro adds to the vehicle. What is key is that it states it builds upon the Trail Edition or the Trail Edition Premium.
Specifically:
"TRD Pro"
"Dirty, desirable, and packed with attitude."
"Adds to or replaces features offered on Trail and Trail Premium."
From what I read, a LOT of people on here have talked to someone "in the know" such as a Toyota engineer, corporate executive, or whomever.
My experience of owning and dealing with Toyota for many years now is that most of the answers from them about new vehicle options are their best guess, nothing more.
What if this first production batch of TRD Pro 4Runners is simply based of the Trail model and the next run, with a sunroof, will be based on the Trail Premium model as the eBrochure implies?

Again, sorry for the crummy iPhone pics, but this is what we got minus the skid plate and badges. The black came together really well IMO. Definitely throws a curveball into my decision once again on color. I think the Nittos look good even for being a little skinny. They are next to a set of the Trail Team Final Edition BFG's which are a little smaller, but posted for tread pattern comparison. The badging is nice and heavy. I said I was going to wait until completed, but here ya go!

Thank you for the pics on this Black TRD. I personally appreciate it very much as the black is the one I'm getting. Since you're there, can you please elaborate a little more on the tires, wheels and more importantly...overall stance? Does it look good to you or the wheels/tires/stance look underwhelming? Still concerned about the skinny 7" wheels as I may go to a 275/70/17 ST Maxx.

I hope that truck is wet and that's not the metal flake in the metallic black. I am getting the black and would have liked a plain black. In person is the metallic black very noticeable? Thanks

What about the spare under the back? Does it get a matching TRD wheel and matching sized Nitto tire?

I think it is grey. I think it is just the lighting in pic.
I have the same problem with my kids......why in the world do they have to touch the headliner?! My son scratched "hi" and a smiley face in my headliner! He's 12......trust me, he is not going to touch any headliner again in any car for the rest of his life.....I hope......haha.

Sorry guys, I uploaded more pics with better angles (side views) but I guess I should have previewed. Was in a rush to get out of the office, but I'll get them up tomorrow. TRDPRORUNNER - honestly man it's a sick looking truck. Personally my favorite on this forum is DesertDawg I believe with the silver TEP + much more! Very clean lines, and "practical" for both daily and OHV. With that being said, he still bought a $40k truck and put more than $5k into it. If you can afford to do that, then you're probably not up in the air on what to buy. Sure, I could possibly wait till next year for some *cough* dropped parts that don't make it on a Pro, but then I'd just be waiting. I'm still on board with the Pro. Great stance and unique in it's own right. The red springs also pop nicely with the TRD logo in the rim center plate. First addition will be some N-Fab step bars though for sure. I really appreciate the input. I totally agree with you on DD's rig. My personal fave too. I'm just a tad nervous about this purchase as I only get to do it like this around every 7-10 years and just want to make sure I have the right rig to start with. Admittedly, I was really upset about KDSS and then the sunroof blow was hard to take. I have been following the TRD for about 8-9 months now so when your chance comes up and they leave off 2 big things you wanted...well it hurts.
I have a special order on the TRD so I'm hanging in, but bruised.

JM4Runner - Great to see these pictures. The pictures you are going to repost do they have the skid plate? I thought the red springs and center caps might break the black up. I wonder if painting the badges red would look good on the black. The whole thing works when viewed with the red stitched black soft tech seats.

man, I would love it if my job was putting on the fun bits on these trucks. I can just imagine how let down some of the Japanese factory workers were when they found out they wouldn't be putting on the best parts. Maybe i'm overthinking this.

The suspension was installed in Japan I would think that is the heart of the TRD PRO.
I wouldn't call the PRO Badges and those wheels to be called the "best parts" to be put on.
