Saying I got hosed isn't telling it like it is. It's talking sh*t. But it doesn't matter. I ain't mad...lol. Just wanted to clarify that I'm not lazy and I didn't get snowed. I just made a decision on something I wanted and it happened to have landed at my local. I had plans to drive to lawton, weatherford and a few other places but if they weren't sold out from under me they were traded to other dealers while I was talking to the sales person.
FWIW, reading my post and muttering to yourself, what a fool is not being a dick. Posting that I'm a lazy dumbass is being a bit of a dick. That philosophy I mentioned doesn't say don't be a dick. It just says try not to...lol. I think you could've managed not to in that instance...that's all lol.
No matter. Your 2010 is bad ass. I'm gonna love my TRDP. All is right with the T4R world.
No hard feelings here.
I got the first one that came to town, got it right off the truck. I paid $38.7 for mine with window tint, free tires for life, and 5 year service.
Thanks. I didn't buy that one. I bought one locally. And now I wait...and obsess. :ranger:
edit:// Oh and that is one that got traded to another dealer...I had already signed on the local at that point. I have noticed in my cars.com travels that Oklahoma dealers seem to modify (and mark up) their 4runners pretty heavily. Lift kits, wheels, roof racks etc, all on newly delivered cars it appears..
Does anyone have an idea if 285s would fit with no rub after the 3/4" top plate spacer? I do have 1.25" spidertrax on it now, but may remove those if needed. I don't mind some minor body mods to alleviate rubbing, but don't want to do anything too extreme.
Got the toytec 3/4" top plate spacer and 1.25" spidertrax installed yesterday. Couldn't be happier with how the truck looks now and all the factory TRD suspension is essentially unchanged. I may post pics later but I doubt they will really do it justice.
The front spacer kit will not cause rubbing...in fact, it would help alleviate it if anything.
The spidertrax on the other hand will def cause rubbing with that tire size. I had to do some very minor cutting on the front of each wheel well in the front. I'm sure you've done the same or you will rub at full lock with the stock tire size.

i read your post. there is always someone willing to undercut someone else to make a sale - thats great that you looked around, but it sounds like you weren't looking in the right places. sorry i offended you but thats how i see it - if you're willing to spend thousands of dollars for a slight bit of convenience thats fine, its your money - but i see it as whole heartedly foolish. i work way too hard for my money to throw it away because some retard in a cheap suit thinks a TRD Pro is special enough to warrant MSRP or MSRP+ pricing.
the supply isn't tight enough on TRD Pros for it to be even reasonable to pay that much money. every dealer has one, and every dealer is getting one next week. I'm happy you like your truck, and I'm happy you got one as the 4Runners are great and the Pros are pretty cool. but supply and demand isn't a contributing factor here. dealership being *******s is, and people giving into their demands because they have a hole in their pocket. i feel sorry for the person that paid MSRP for a Trail Premium, that guy is really getting his ass reamed out.
hell, there are dealers who are willing to sell Raptors below invoice pricing. i can walk into my Toyota dealer and buy a Pro tomorrow for 1% above invoice price.
i tell it like it is, if you'd like to interpret that as me being a dick then go ahead.
Right back at you with your pictures. You are wrong in almost everything you said in that post.
I don't know what you are talking about that evey dealer is going to get one next week and every dealer has one. The dealer I bought mine from said that they are not getting any more. I know tons of dealers who don't have one currently. Call Findlay Toyota in Flagstaff , AZ and ask if they have one. I guarantee you they don't. Also ask if they have sold one. The answer will be no. I was driving through the lot just gazing and all the sales people came and looked at mine because they hadn't seen one yet, in fact they thought I had one that I converted. That was JUST LAST WEEK. I talked to 4-5 dealers in UT and most wanted 3-5$k over MSRP. I paid MSRP for mine. Am I lazy? Am I stupid?
Check your facts dude. While you are at it, show me a Raptor for less than invoice, new. They stopped making them and I bet they are nearly gone. Go ahead, tell me like it is.
By the way, I paid MSRP for mine in UT and had an offer for $1500 over invoice in AZ. Guess how much difference in price there was between them out the door? Less than $500 because AZ sales tax is more than 8% and in UT it is 6%.

I'm sorry your extreme butthurt is clouding your vision into thinking I'm wrong, but I'm not. this years supply has already been allocated and shipped from Japan, some may not have them anymore. do you really think something this hot of a seller, Toyota is only going to make for one year? and really? you're going to pick at the Raptor thing, when there aren't any new raptors left? how desperate are you? we can get back to that when the new Raptors go into production in the spring and id be happy to show you dealers in Texas that will sell them at Invoice.
heres the facts, jack - you and everyone else that pays MSRP or higher is lazy and is ruining it for everyone else. By letting those dealers take advantage of those that are willing to pay more, gives them the right to even try it in the first place. they're all scum bags trying to make a buck by taking advantage of people that either don't know any better, have a hole burning in their pocket or have more money than brains. and for the record, i never said anyone was stupid - i just said they were lazy. if someone wants to justify that by saying their time is more valuable; ok whatever, but see above.
So my TRD PRO is supposedly at the port in New York since this Friday. How long was the wait after you guys received the notification that it was at port?
Just curious, do they have a VIN yet? I'm in the same boat (figuratively). Mine was at the port last week and had a VIN. I don't know which port though. I do know that it will have to go to Houston before it gets here no matter what port it is in now. My dealer said 1 week but I don't think I buy that. Another dealer said 7-14 days after they get a VIN. Not sure about that either. I have read this whole thread and I still don't have a good estimate on how long it might take mine to get here. :redbrick:
I have a VIN #. Good luck to you and myself. Lol:cheers:

They get VIN #'s when they are allocated- long before they are shipped and at port. Give me your dealer name and I will get you your vin and Vspec if they won't give it to you
