4runner TRD Pro

Hey fellas I just joined the club. Got a black on black model. I live in Houston and had to go all the way to tucson AZ to get it. The local dealers made promises but couldn't deliver so I bought this one off the showroom floor. I'm not sure if I overpaid but I got it without step bars and cargo slider thing for 46,680 out the door. What did everyone else pay? My wife wants a lift kit and 35's but I'm pretty happy with how it sits right now. I might throw a 1" spacer on the wheels but that's about it. Very happy with it.

I paid 40,200.

40,334 with sliding cargo.

Quick question for you other TRD Pro owners. I picked mine up a little over a week ago, have 1300 miles on it already, and I'm experiencing a shake in the steering wheel around 60 to 75. It was pretty bad on my drive down to the Ozarks this last weekend. I took it into the dealer to get the wheels rebalanced, they did, their tech took it out and said the steering wheel shake was gone, but the truck kinda shook at around 70 still. He blames it on the roads and tires.
I had a 2012 trail, an fj, and a tacoma all with a/t tires and never experienced a shake like this. Could thus be something other then a tire either being bad or the wheels still out of balance? Love the truck, just this annoys the cap out of me.

I have had the exact opposite experience from you. My PRO has been smooth as glass, but my FJ, Tacoma and a 1st gen Tundra all shook the wheel at some point. My guess is you have a wheel balance issue, but there was a PRO owner a few months back who had his steering rack replaced due to vibration.

Have 5k on mine and haven't experienced those issues. Have done several roads trips and drove 80-85 mph through the mountains from Denver to Moab and truck drives smooth. I would take it back to the dealer if you are having problems

What does everyone think of the Nitto Terra Grapplers?

I've seen people posting about swapping them out but so far they've been great tires for me

Quiet enough on the highway, run fine on gravel, and have performed well doing some light wheeling in Moab.

Just got my TRD Pro about a month ago...Loving it so far!

No issue here so far . . . Rocketing down E470 to the airport with no issues at all.

BoreBrother,

About a month into ownership, my steering wheel would shake significantly b/n 62-68mph. I thought it was alignment or wheel balance. Took it in and the master tech spent a couple hours to diagnose that both front tires were egg shaped instead of round. Ordered new fronts and since then the steering wheel has very little if any vibration b/n 60-70.

May want to have them look at this as the possible issue.

Where about in Florida? Looks like you're eager to get it dirty, be sure to check out the regional forums for Florida. Had a nice trip to Ocala about a month back and planning another soon! I see ALOT of the Pro's to believe they are limited numbers, and I love my Super White, but that Inferno is such a cool color. Congrats!

I'm about an hour away from Ocala and have thought about venturing there with a few jeep friends who are members of the Ocala Jeep club.

I'm looking for something easy to moderate level for now. Look forward to hearing if anyone else has interest too. :cowboy:

Nice to see another pro owner who is also a former Gimlet! I'm assuming you came from 1-21 IN, or you just have a strange taste in usernames haha.

New Inferno

Picked up ours today. One thing is for sure, Inferno is the only color for this truck. This thing REALLY turns heads. :bravo: Its funny how a color can be the perfect, iconic color for a model. Liking everything so far. Some of the basic functionality works well. Its mommas truck though, and she wants sliders and a rear tire carrier obviously, but when I start talking about chopping rear quarter panels or shrinking that giant rock grabbing nose with a shrock works bumper....I think that may be awhile

Hello All, I just picked up the Inferno TRD PRO last week, new to the forum but not new to Yota's. I traded in my 2010 Tundra w/Rock Warrior package on this one. Love the new ride and I already did a couple of the easy/cheap mods and of course, plan to do many more. Here are a couple pics of the new Toy and the old Toy! Sorry for the crappy pics, it's cold and raining for the next week here in Va....more to come.

Nice! Yea check out the Florida regional forum. Ocala is a good little spot with a variety of difficulty. Idk if the group can handle another super white TRD, but we'll do it anyways!

Firstly, I want to say that I've read through all 240 pages of this thread and have been jealous the whole time!

I've been dealing with a fleet manager down here in SoCal who has a black TRD pro (not my order) with my name on it scheduled to be here as of a few weeks ago but it's been delayed because of the port workers striking. We were going to try to trade it for a white one once it arrived but after speaking with a few fleet managers in CA, the only 2 white ones that show available, are actually sold. I ordered one today but am a bit frustrated because we've spent the last 5 weeks spinning our wheels for really nothing. At least this one will show up eventually.

To my question though, to anyone who bought a TRD pro without ordering it, how did you go about "finding" one and did you have to go out of state? I'd be willing to make a short flight or drive a bit if I could find one.

Go to Tejas.

When I drove from CO to AL two weeks ago, I saw one at just about every Toyota dealership I passed.

Thats really the ticket. Go East Old Man. Its brutal in the Rocky Mountain west where everyone wants one. But would you do with the thing out East? I got lucky, a salesman remembered me visiting in January and called me first for our Inferno. Typically on the FourRunner TRD PRO salesman race to there phones when one pops up in the system and the early bird makes the sale. This was the first time my salesman won the race.
