4runner TRD Pro

Just got my black Pro back from a local detailer. Had them do a paint correction and apply the CQuartz Finest ceramic paint coating. Also had him take off the terrible, stock running boards. It looks amazing -- this color is so beautiful in direct sun light with the blue/metallic fleck when it's polished to perfection. I'll take some pics later -- it's getting ready to storm here.

Congrats! Now you can go out and do this to it.......

These are not K2s but TRDPRORUNNER is running some 275/70/17 cooper tires
http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/179507-trdprorunner-build.html

When I talked to him about it he told me he has no rubbing issues and the fitment was awesome.

The KO2's seem to have more of a 90 degree edge than the coopers on TRDPRORUNNER (An awesome set up he has BTW) Hoping that wont make much of a difference. 1engineer guide is awesome too. I'm just concerned that they had to cut the bumper at port for the 265's.

Saw an Inferno Pro today. First time I saw that color up close -- it's cool, unique color on this vehicle but I'm very glad I went with the Attitude Black.

It was in the Wolf Trap parking lot BTW for you NOVA guys -- who's was it?

The only problem with white or black is that you are never sure it is a Pro unless you get close enough to examine it-- so many people swapping the wheels and grill.

that was my thought as well - seeing the inferno you KNOW its a pro - the others could be anything....

I certainly get a lot of comments on the color. I love it, I do wish Toyota used a stronger paint/clear coat, as it picks up nicks/scratches really easily. But then again it's for off road use. That said my VW's paint job was damn near like kevlar.

Part of me sometimes regrets not doing the black, but in the summer it's turn into a damn oven.

mine lives outside - is constantly dirty covered with tree pollen/sap, bird shit, leaves, bugs. :-(

Most crushing moment was being out in the desert, had the thing caked in dirt, then hit a rain storm on the way back, and by the time I pull into the garage it looks clean. I had a sad.

I already have paint chipped off on my bumper just from resting a couple of 2x4's on it. When I asked the dealer about it, they said that was just what you get with the Super White and next time get a car with Blizzard Pearl (obviously not an option with the TRD Pro) as it has a clear coat and the Super White does not... hence the easy chipping.

I'm debating leaving it as is or taking it somewhere to get a clear coat

ETA: I know the Inferno and Black have clear coat, is white the only one NOT?

compared to my 2007 FJC the paint on my super white seems really thin and really fragile !

but oh well I kinda read that going in so will deal with it somehow if it gets bad :)

I'm guessing this is only with their super white?

Odd. Again I love the 4Runner but you could basically dance all over my VW and it wouldn't leave a mark (why are you dancing on my VW, jerk!) whereas the Toyota isn't as durable.

Whatever, it's a truck.
