[MENTION=113878]NewguyNY[/MENTION] there is a group buy going on right now for icon suspension .... I'd jump on that if that was the route you are going to take (look in group buy section).... Oh and, my wife put a 1.5 inch hole in my rear bumper when she was trying to back up the trailer and jack knifed it... It's about 600 to fix, was pissef off the first night but got over it pretty quickly ... I am so glad I didn't spend more money on clear bra and anything else to save the paint, accidents happen............. Hope to see pics of the upgrades!

Thanks for the heads up bro. Definitely a lot to think about. Not too sure I want to ditch the pro suspension as that's part of the reason I bought the truck. I'm sure the ICON set up is great too and I would get some lift that would help with future endeavors.
Tough call. Supposed to be heading down to Rausch Creek in a month and NC a week later to play in the sand. If I go this route I will cancel the first trip and modify the second and take the wife's grocery getter there and not do any playing in the sand that doesn't involve sand castles.
I'm thinking this may be better off in the long run though. I'd have a bumper and a lift, then just some 285s, slider/ steps, a roof rack and some lights and she'd be squared away.
I think that's how I'm gonna go. Bummer to put playing on the back burner though.
I spoke with Demello yesterday and they are testing their '15 model year bumper now and it won't be in production for 10 wks or so. It's looking like 6-8 wks for 4x4labs.

yeah my only gripe about the trd pro is the height of the current suspension... its as high as stock 4runners... i really want a 3 inch lift but at the same time I don't want to waste my pro suspension....... in your case, its a win win situation if you need to adjust the height since the bumper will be heavy (id double check with icon or other forum members if thats the case- I am in no way an expert), plus you got 3000 to play with.....

just cross check the part # on Weathertech website, to make sure you're ordering the correct part for your truck...
that's what i always do, when i order stuff off amazon for my vehicles.

I was thinking that too as far as suspension goes. I stopped in at my shop today and there was a trail premium there. I compared fender heights and my pro was 2" higher in the rear and 1.5" in the front exactly. That surprised me as I thought we were sitting about the same too. So I'm now second guessing this and not sure it's worth the hassle to swap it out and sell the pro setup. I'm thinking I'll just go ahead with Demello when it's available and then see how far the front drops. I think I may look into some stiffer front springs and a top plate spacer. I'm thinking those would be an easy fix and save enough cash for a winch and some sliders.

something is strange there. Toyota's published specs state definitively that the Pro is lifted 1" in the front only.
the Pro's rear coils are just the regular TE coils; no change there, so obviously no additional lift in the rear.
the front coilovers are comprised of softer (than stock) springs with firmer, digressive-valved Bilstein shocks set at a higher clip perch to lift the front 1" over stock height.

^ I agree. It was strange but I measured twice. Parked right next to the other truck and measured from the ground up I was 2" higher in the rear and 1.5" in the front. Strange, but true. So a standard 3" lift will give me 1.5" up front and 1" in the rear.
My guess is it's the difference in the tire circumference and tread. TEP had stock Duellers on it vs the Nittos on mine.

Evening All,
I returned to the dealer last week with my TRDP about the sound I'm hearing near the front passenger side when I shift into D or R. It's a metal on metal circular sound, like its the torque converter or differential rubbing. It is very noticeable outside and can be heard inside from 0-15mph when the radio is less than 5. At my first visit, they had two trails and one TRDP on the lot had the same noise although not as loud. They were sold out of T4Rs last week, but had one 5th gen in the shop. On the report it said it made the same noise and was considered normal. Service manager gave me the engineer line to call and said unless the noise gets louder, nothing more will be done. I will tape the sound tomorrow and post. I look forward to this group's comments. I also plan to call Toyota for assistance as well.

I taped 30secs of the noise from the front end, but it will not upload from the site even after compressing the video. Any thoughts on how others are getting their videos uploaded? Thanks for everyone's help as I look forward to finding out who else is noticing this noise with their cars in D and R.

Just dropping in to say hi, I put a deposit on a Inferno TRD Pro this past Saturday at a dealership in Utah. Should be going to pick it up next Monday. I'll post pictures once I get it.
