Delivery: 900
All weather floor mats/Tray: 200
Cross bars: 185
Total: $43135

I'm not sure if the all weather mats and the cross bars are mandatory or they are optionals. Because it would drop the price to $ 42750

OTD is really not important because everyone here has paid different taxes and license. I can tell you in your CA and your tax rate you will not get a 9% discount on a TRD. If you get anywhere over $1000 off of MSRP take it imo

That's good to know thanks! I'm looking to do Costco pricing actually. I bought my taco with Costco and got it for 100 dollars over dealers invoice (which is a made up number I know). Either way Msrp was 33k and I got it for 28500. Costco shows the invoice on the 4Runner pro is ~38k so if it's anything like the taco I bought, it might put it at 39 or 40k. I'm not expecting that obviously but just stating what Costco shows it as and my past experience buying through Costco. I'm really hoping to get OTD at 43k.

Given the limited availability of the trd pro, its going to be difficult to find a dealer to sell much below msrp....they simply have too many buyers for too few trucks, and they know it. I spent the last couple of weeks calling toyota dealers in the northeast. The best deal I found was a price of 41,360 on a no option pro with an msrp of 42,750. I might get the dealer down a few bucks more if I try, but I'm also looking at close to 4k in state sales and excise tax :shocked: I'm currently driving an '05 sport that I purchased new....the truck has never skipped a beat and I'd drive it anywhere.....would I like a new pro in mgm, hell ya! Do I need a new pro....probably not. Good luck with your negotiations and let us know what you find. :thumb:

I worked for Toyota for 2 years in management and I can't imagine a dealer wanting to do a Costco deal on the TRD but if they do jump on it!

I'm trying to help a friend find one. In So Cal Dealers are charging $5000 over invoice for a TRDPro model because there are so few around.

Just got a call from my salesman today, saying that the TRD will allegedly arrive on February 15th.

New to the forum. After reading some of the posts, def wish I would have read through this before I ordered mine in Houston.

Ordered TRD Pro on Dec 28 under the impression I could claim one coming in to Houston in the beginning of January. Got the old bait and switch...1 day later said they had to special order it. Got a call from the sales man last week saying it will arrive on February 21st. Hoping it's on the same boat.

As far as Costco pricing, the dealerships laughed at me when I brought it up. Nobody will honor it on the TRD Pro. Tried diff approaches at 5 different dealership and finally got one to take $1100 off MSRP.

Sliding Rear Cargo deck - $350 (didn't want)
Cargo cover - $155 (didn't want)
Exhaust tip - $90 (hate)
Paint protective film - $395 (didn't want)
Remote Engine Start - $499 (don't need)
Roof Rack cross bars - $185

Plus Dealer prep $900

Base price $41,550, total MSRP $44,124.

If I didn't take it for MSRP someone else would (9 people were on the wait list after me).

So, total out the door with Ca sales tax and license was about $48K. Ouch! But, so far I love it.

If you can find one for MSRP in California I think you are doing well. In the LA area they were all asking $5K+ over MSRP when I checked late last year. Walnut Creek Toyota also had one but they were asking 6 or 7K over MSRP.

The santa Barbara dealer here sold their last one for 5k over. Also, in SO CAl you have to have the stupid cargo slider as that's how they are built for the region

Geeze, I thought they would lose their Costco perks if they denied a Costco price. I mean nothing says they have to sell it to you for that price but I think they get in trouble with Costco if they don't. I would have had a word with Costco myself but thanks for the heads up on that at least I know what I'm walking into haha. Looks like I'll need to come up with an extra couple grand, was looking to put 10k down but might need to bump that up to 13 after reading these posts. Thanks again btw for all the responses. Something I've been reading also that might try as a sales tactic...supposedly the trd pro is a good deal considering everything your getting compared to having it built yourself on a trail edition. However that's at the Msrp, if dealerships are selling them at 5000 above that then why shouldn't I just buy the trail edition and add the other stuff on and come out at or around the Msrp of the pro.

Definitely resale. While looking/waiting for my 2016 I've seen multiple 2015s listed for OVER 2016 MSRP even though they have 10-15K miles on them. For example, there was an Inferno 2015 at Mossey Toyota San Diego listed for $47.5K earlier this week with 10K miles. The ad is already down so I suspect it sold for something close to the asking price.

Very pleased with the pricing, seeing as I looked at a 15' Inferno (new) at a local dealer in IL and they had a $5K "market adjustment" on the truck pushing it to over $47K. I had to wait two months for the truck.

It's Super White. I originally wanted Mag Gray, but it was a longer wait, and the more I thought about it, having all the black emblems and tinted windows and stuff,I figured the gray might blend in too much. Either way, I'm happy with my choice.

I'll prob post up pics here next week. I'm scheduled to get the ToyTec lift installed next Fri, so It'll be a great time to take some pics.

I think its weird that a lot of the quicksands popping up have the sliding rear cargo deck. If you try and put that option on a quicksand on the toyota website it says you cant put it on a quicksand.

Also seeing a lot more pop up with running boards - some are tubular ones - some are square.

Called a dealer in Kansas about one that came up on cars.com - went to their website and it was 44,xxx retail and they had a 3500 dollar savings making it 40,xxx so I called. Lady said it had not arrived yet but it was on the way and I could put down $500 to hold it. Unfortunately it was about 9.5 hours each way so I thought that was a bit too far.

Checked again and the price on their website is back up to MSRP haha.

That sorts happened to me too. When I finally decided on White, I went to the build my car thingy on the Toyota website and it wouldn't let me add it, without getting the rigid running boards; kinda like a package deal. Anywho, when I went to order one, turns out one was being built that day with the same options I wanted, so I got their allocation. Showed up two months later.

So here's an update. I got in contact with a dealership via email and got the guy to say they would order me a pro for Msrp. So I said ok cool is that the 41,850 Msrp that's showing on toyotas website? He then asked if I could send the link showing 41,850 which I gladly did. So here's the thing, that's the starting Msrp not including the 900 destination fee which I'm going to see if they will drop that. If they don't then I'll head to the next dealership asking them if they can beat that or not. Lastly I'm going to go to the actual dealership I wish to purchase it from (my extended family and I have bought 4 cars from them in the last 4 years because they treat us well). Once I'm at said dealership I'm gonna say ok here's the deal, this is what other dealers have offered me, use rather give you the business tho so what can you do for me. Hopefully it'll be enough to get them to cut me some breaks. If not then I'll head back to whichever dealer has the better price. Either way I'm guaranteed at least Msrp so won't need to worry about getting reamed with an over Msrp price. I think next week will be the week I head into the dealerships. Also those of you that ordered yours about how long did it take to arrive? Also I will be trading in my taco which I've never done before so will they take the trade in right away or will I have to hold onto it until my pro comes in and then trade it in?
