Greetings...second that on the delivery charge.
With my experience, I was originally looking for a TrailP, however I could not find one anywhere within reasonable distance at the time and then a PRO popped up in Quicksand (with all the normal options-3m protection, tint, cargo slider,etc which I didn't want mainly but most come like that) a few states over. I negotiated back and forth over the phone and settled on a price I was willing to make the drive for.
All in all, completely OTD 45K even which I felt was a good deal and it was close to what I would have paid for the Trail w/added cosmetic upgrades.

Interesting on the tint. My dealer is less than 10 miles from my house so I'm not too worried about that.
There's a shop that's about half-mile from my house that does 4x4 work and lifts, I might ask them for a quote.
I could prob do the roof rack myself
Also, do you guys ever consider extended warranties?
Yeah, the lift is simple to install just replacing the rear coils and adding spacers to the front coilovers. When I had the lift, I used a local 4x4 shop which ran around $75 an hour for labor and if memory serves me right, I was out for $175 or so.
I'm not familiar with the Baja Racks. I installed an Eezi-Awn K9 which was pretty straight forward.
Extended warranties?? could probably debate that but I did go with one but thru my financial institution and not the dealer.

My local dealer put my name on a waiting list back in October for a '17 TRD PRO. just before Christmas they called to tell me they have one inbound in my preferred color (cement). Said it will arrive next week. They sent me the invoice with vin #, options, etc but prices were all zeroed out. Dealer said it should be close to '16 pricing,but won't know exact prices until next week. I have been watching the forum for a few months now and I know there are others on waiting lists. Assume you will be getting contacted soon.

Damn, you're lucky! Did you put down $3k for your name on the waiting list? I called two dealerships that had waiting list for TRDPro in Cement...one of the larger dealership's list is likely into 2018...the other one had 4 names on the list for a cement one, and they could not guarantee that they would even get one. Plus, everyone on their list had put $3k down. Oh well...I wasn't too seriously looking, but if the opportunity came up to snag a cement Pro...well...I'd probably go for it. I just love that color on all the Toyotas!

That's strange. I talked to my dealer yesterday, trying to agree on a price for a '17 TRD PRO and he looked and showed like 68 units in first shipment, but all were spoken for. He said that doesn't mean that all are actually sold, dealers might mark it as sold when its not just so they can get it to their lot. My deposit will only be $500 and he said it would take up to 3 months if I ordered it, but possibly sooner if they can snag one that matches my color, then they can add/remove options as I please.

A colleague of mine has some sort of family tie to local dealer. In September he introduced me to someone there. they didn't even have a waiting list then. Started one in October and I was first in the list. No down payment needed. Maybe that was due to my connection. Sounds like I will have to pay MSRP. Said that they are pretty hard to come by so they won't discount them, but no add-on's either. While dealer has no pricing yet, Edmunds is now listing 2017 pricing on their website. Will see how close it comes to reality. Just under $44K the way mine is equipped. All weather mats, sliding cargo tray, roof rack exhaust tips and delivery.

not sure why they say no pricing, I priced it our Toyota's website and it clearly states 2017 Cement 4runner (no options available, you can add accessories, but no extra options to add) for $42,400 plus $940 Delivery fee.
Toyota does have regional websites, so for instance when I put my zip code in for South Carolina it wouldn't even offer me cement as color. So i put in my old zip code in the mid atlantic and it enabled me to choose cement as color and took me straight to the page with pricing and local dealers to contact(not that they have them in stock, but I imagine it just shows you the dealers in your zipcode ands then you need to contact them directly).
It's crazy it's so difficult to get a vehicle like a 4runner, you think toyota would make a ton(like they they do with all their other vehicles) but I guess they want the TRD PRO to be something exclusive.
if anyone has a legit connection on how to get one, feel free to PM me contact details for a dealer (willing to travel across the country and road trip home).

I just send my dealer an email asking for an updated invoice with the pricing. When I pick it up next week, I'll ask if they have any available in Cement or if they can get any. Will let you know. As for being hard to get, they have only been building a few thousand per year and as I understand it, they go pretty fast. I also have an FJ Cruiser trail team and they built about 2,500/yr but I had no difficulty finding one.....supply and demand.

Just got a quote for $47,349 OTD with TT&L in Texas for a '17 TRD PRO with only tint from the dealer, apparently the roll out tray is listed as an "option" but it comes with by default so you can't opt out.

OTD doesn't necessarily apply to people in different states, as we have different taxes, dealer fee's, etc. What was base price you received before all that just out of curiosity..... did you pay MSRP?

Base price is 43,475 which includes delivery. So they have 1,345 for the "devliery" (compared to Toyota.com MSRP of 42,400) which is extremely high in my opinion but others here have mentioned in their experience dealers do not negotiate on that item.

I totally agree, in fact I was looking a trail edition 3 years ago and test drove it and was not impressed and ended up buying a 4 door rubicon brand new and have thoroughly enjoyed the last three years of topless and doorless driving. However we are expecting our first kid and the wife wants something more practical (the jeep is on 37's). So I convinced her a TRD pro 4runner is more practical.
So fast forward I found this thread or another about the 2017 trd pro. Seeing that color (I have a sportscar with a similar flat/battleship grey color) and all the TRD pro styling cues swayed my decision to get back into a Toyota (this would be my 10th, always had trucks, 4runners). Now of course I had to pick the one that is going to be the most difficult to secure and get any type of discount (got the jeep under invoice pricing).

Just to update, I put my $500 deposit down tonight. Will be the white TRD4 PRO, with only the sliding cargo tray and dealer tint. Total OTD price $47,349. The price could drop if any incentives come out before mine arrives. Order will be put in tomorrow morning, when it processed as I'm sure some of you know the salesman can track it every step of the way.
The salesman will call me if ANY white pros become available to him no matter the options so I can opt for it instead of the one I ordered.
Can't friggin wait! It's going to be less than I paid for my Tundra TRD PRO so I'm excited for all kinds of reasons.

How long have you been engaging your dealer on ordering the TRD Pro? I'm in contact with 2 in-state dealers, and they are both telling me that they are waiting to receive some on the lot before they can start talking allocations. At this point I want to put a deposit down and really harden my place in line but not sure how to engage.
I'm in CO and am now considering going out of state. Any suggestions or am I overreacting and too impatient?

That's strange to hear. I've only been talking with them for 2 full days. I contacted one dealer but the salesman was new and didn't know anything about the TRD PRO much less toyotas in general. I fought he'll even follow up with me when he realized I didn't call back. Then I called the dealer I bought my Tundra from. Got a more enthusiastic salesman. Told him I was listing my truck, and wanted info on the TRD PRO4 and when I could expect one. He logged into the system on the phone, told me how many were coming in on the first shipment, explained how to order one, etc. The next day I called and said I wanted to put down a deposit on the quote he sent me by email. He took my deposit over the phone by credit card and said he would look for a white one that becomes available to him otherwise he'll update me as the build comes along. 3 months tops he said. 6-8 weeks is their typical response for builds I believe.
I'm surprised they aren't taking your deposit. Then again, I'm not fully up to date on new cars and purchasing one before they hit the floor. Apparently some dealers are different.
