4runner TRD Pro

With a credit score like that, you should be paying no more than 1.25-1.5% interest. 2.6% with your credit score would be a ripoff. Keep shopping around. You should have no problem getting a sub 2% interest rate.

Good to know that and thank you. I'll shop for sure. Thanks everyone.

Installed some LED fog light Bulbs. Big difference compared to the standard halogen bulb.

Random question:

First time ever buying a new car. I want to just finance through the dealer since it's easier and he quoted me a good rate (I think). Looks like 2.6%. I have excellent (above 800) credit. Should I shop around? I'm paying this sucker off in 12-24 months... and I'm putting $25k down. So if I pay that off in 24 months, I'm only looking at throwing away around $600 in interest. Thoughts?

Actually 2.6% on a car loan is really not that bad. If you are really prepaying that aggressively on your car loan you will be fine. Just make sure the finance guy doesn't play games and at the last minute change the rate or add gap insurance or a extended warranty and then act like thats getting you a low interest rate. They play this game.

As a general car buying rule Its always better to get pre approved at a credit union just in case he becomes a stealer.
The finance guys job is to pick your pockets. The sales manager already did! We are all paying sticker so $600 shouldn't be an issue.

Toyota is really the one ripping us all off!:AK47: Its the Toyota tax.

The way the dealer explained the situation at the time to me (purchased TRD Pro Jan/15) Toyota would be making 3,000 of the Pro's that year, with somewhere between half and 66% dedicated to US market. Who knows the numbers now. I was one of the lucky few with my tires shaving the inner front wheel wells on full crank. took them four months to find a fix after originally I was told they'd be adding spacers which I begged for but they ended up installing new wheel wells. And yes all the engineers they were speaking to about the fix and who installed it were California based.

Or if you can just pay cash. I despise banks. And yeah, they're all trying to rip you off. We're getting ripped off as it is paying msrp. Only reason I'm letting them is the cement color. Otherwise, I would get a non trd pro and build it up to a trd pro. You should've seen the finance manager do a 180 in how she talked to me when I declined everything she tried to sell me. Priceless...

Yes the visit to the finance office at a car dealer is always a joke with the games they play to squeeze more money out of customers and then these people get angry if you decline stuff you just don't need. Its almost creepy how they change their mood by the end of the sales pitch.

Yes banks do suck because they want consumers to stay in debt and car payments are killing the average American.

Credits unions want their members to not be in debt. My credit union offers 2.25% and I also prepay my car loans so I actually pay less than 2.25%.

I am so glad I don't need to see anybody at the dealer. All through phone and email and they will deal with my cu.

Have a Cement and White pro still allocated to our dealership. We ARE adding rustproof, sound deadening and hood clear bra on right off the truck though. Both are still available though. If someone is interested in one, can call me at 402-290-3906.
