From what I recall... Invoice is relative. There are holdbacks on every vehicle. So when a dealer sells you a vehicle for "invoice," they are still making money. Not to mention other finical discounts the dealer may acquire (from the manufacture) through monthly quotas or sales goals. Long story short, they make money on you @invoice no matter what they tell you. I couldn't imagine spending anything more than $500 over invoice. There is still a good profit in there for them. MSRP and/or anything above is a surplus as far as profit for the dealer. So you have to REALLY want what they have to pay those prices IMO.

No it's not. Geographic location also plays a part. Think for a minute... if I have 30 dealers in a large market (LA, Chicago, etc) and some of them are high volume and some not then the allocation will go to the large dealers.
I live near a small town in the middle nowhere in the Appalachians. Small market. Our dealer gets 3-4 4Runner TRD Pros a year. He sells 15-20 4Runners a month and 40 or so Tacomas. That is pretty good for a small market and the next closest Toyota dealer is 60 miles away.
There are some large markets with high volume dealers that get NO 4Runner TRD Pros and because they don't sell 4WD 4Runners. Florida comes to mind. Location.

The bottom line is if only about 3000 are made each year and if you spread them around to all the dealerships around the country thats 1-2 maybe per dealership.
If you want one your going to have to spend the premium price. $$$$

Hey y'all i am picking up my Cement Pro today. I was looking at the specs and it says it has the perimeter lighting. Is this the puddle illumination? If it is what a B S*&^ option I got stuck with.

Go on Cars.com and see who has them listed. If you're dead set on a certain model/options/trim then it's the easiest way to find who has what you want. I bought mine from Bozeman MT while living in Tulsa OK and paid about $1400 to have it shipped down to me. Not inexpensive, but still cheaper than paying MSRP or higher to have a local dealer order one that will take 6+ months to get. Or if you can swing time off of work, go to the dealer once they have delivery and make driving it home your first adventure. Know of several people who have bought TRDP from neighboring city/state in order to get it, and they usually end up with a better deal than with the local dealer.

Interesting. I was told (by a local dealer in the NW) that individual dealer performance metrics played into the allocations. I was also told it was a straight up lottery. I didn't trust most any of them. Especially the big ones.

I have been in the next allocation for the last 3 times. now I am promised a week from tomorrow. if I don't get it then, I will be hitting up their social media pages asking why. In my area, allocations are every two weeks, not sure if you are any different. Good luck! Hope it all works out for the both of us, I cannot wait to get mine!!!

Second Go Around is Always Better
Feels like yesterday that I was beyond thrilled about getting my 2015 SW TRD Pro! Wasn't much out there specifically to relate to in late 2014 to early 2015, but did throw a Cornfed 1" spacer all the way around with 1.25" Spidertrax. Kept the factory Nitto TG's and was super happy. But the game has changed this time around. Thanks to Jason Burtman and some friends, she's coming along nicely while still under 500mi! 2.25"/2" Cornfed, 1.25" Spidertrax, SPC UCA's, 285/70/17 Cooper STT Pros, NFab and more to come this weekend. Front mudflaps were removed, but no caster adjustment has been made yet, so they might go back on. Only rub is in full reverse lock for reference, so happy for now. Tint, roof rails painted black, and Xenon Depot 5000K low beams this week. Not the greatest at keeping up with responding to questions via the thread, so apologies in advance if there are delays or no response. PM's are sometimes better.

The N-Fab RKR Rails with detachable steps. Definitely not a true rock rail, but the steps help the little lady.
hmm I may have to look into that. Beautiful cement!! Mine should be on a boat over as we speak.
Who here has gone with larger tire sizes? Specifically 275/70/17 and 285/70/17.
I know that 275/70/17 is supposed to fit without rubbing, but I could have sworn I read someone say 275s rubbed on their TRD Pro (something about the backspacing of the rim).
I also could have sworn I read/saw something about the port doing the modification most people do to the fender to get 285s to fit.
