4runner TRD Pro

You can get an 8yr/100,000 warranty for ~$1000 from a different dealer. Search for a thread or post by gamester5.
I think the rule is that it has to be purchased in the same state the it was purchased now. You can't call a dealership in a different state anymore.

I paid $1200 for the 100k warranty after saying no a million times. Started at around $3500 if I recall.

If you don't know, now you know!

You can still buy out of state warranty. Just have to find the dealer or ask Few of the really popular ones have stopped though

Swapped the 265 KO2s for 275 KO2s after measuring and finding I had a few millimeters to spare. Also added 30% ceramic tint on the front windows:

Never get the warranty. There is a reason the dealer offers them. #freemoneyfordealer

Everytime dealer offers extended warranty.........let them explain why its such a good idea. Then ask these questions.

1. Are you telling me your product is prone to breaking down and this is why I need it?

2. Are you driving a Toyota and if yes, do you have the extended warranty?

After this, the extended warranty issue become a moot point and dropped.

155 mile check in.

Love the truck. Thank you all for all this info and help! Saved me through the burning process, and it's well worth the wait!

I just put on 265 KO2s on it today and love the look. The tires drive the same as the nittos on the street. Drove 45mph earlier with the window open trying to hear road whir. Nothing.

Few quick pics.

Buyers and sellers are both pigs, that's the truth of the world. Everyone looks for the best deal. If it's buying a house, a car or a tv. People no matter what will want the cheapest price and a seller will want to turn a profit.

That's the truth, and the fact is that demand for TRD Pros exceeds demand.

So for those that want to take the perceived "high road" and not pay MSRP or even a premium to get one, their protest has zero impact other than that buyer not getting the vehicle they actually wanted.

I was lucky enough to get my TRD Pro discounted, and would not personally have paid a premium over MRSP...but if I had passed on one and chosen another model, I'm quite sure I wouldn't be spending my time dicking around in the "TRD Pro" thread pissing and moaning about the injustice of it all.

Make a decision and live with it boys. No point harbouring resentment over the one that got away.

If anyone is looking for a Cement Pro in the Bay Area or willing to travel, let me know and I can send contact info. The salesman that sold me mine let me know he has another one coming in mid April.

I'll be doing the same. Not only are they beastly looking they are snow rated. I've had KOs on all of my other 4Runners and they are an awesome tire. Current ones have 60k on them and are good for one more year. Though I've heard the ko2s don't wear quite as well.

Yea - I would be lying if I told you guys I didn't primarily do it for looks. Also -the snow rating helps since I hit Mammoth as much as I can. Def a nice little upgrade.

Shrockworks sliders shipped today!

Got a VIN number today and there's an outside chance the vehicle will be here before the weekend.

Question, does the VIN indicate its a PRO? If so, what character ?

Trim level has no bearing on VIN.

Just called in and they're asking $3K above MSRP and don't seem to want to budge. That's not the price for me so I'll keep searching. Thanks for the info!

That's pretty much the norm up here in Northern California. $3k over is standard with some charging $5k over and SF Toyota, the dumbest of them all, charging $10k over.

It's getting so bad that dealers are charging MSRP for TRD Off-Road and Off-Road Premiums. I called around a bit a couple of days before my TRDP came in and three of the OR/ORPs I found had deposits on them for MSRP before they even arrived.
