So I saw a lot of people are doing the blackouts. I personally dont like the chrome either. But didnt like the black on black. So I bought em and painted them Barcelona red.

I've been mulling over doing the exact same for my Mag Grey, just to step apart from the norm. I was think of going with more darker red for mine. I'm still on the fence, but at least now I have a better visual of the contrast.

Thank you for being brave and daring to be different. It is nice to see what that would look like. Others may not think it looks good, but it really only matters that you love it. Everyone seems to think that the chrome looks out of place on the back. But I decided to stay with the chrome because it was pointed out to me that in the tail lights there is a bit of chrome and it accents it nicely. But I do admire that others have made changes.

Congrats! i am still waiting for my allocation, they seem to be like unicorns in Canada and dealers dont even know how to answer people who want to place orders for them since there is no set date/allocations to any of them!

Forget these guys. I think it looks good. Someone else did this to match their cement. I'll probably do the same.

Did you get your paint at Automotive Touch Up? Touch Up Paint and accessories | AutomotiveTouchup

I've purchased bottles and spray cans of their matched paint for other vehicles, and the color has been spot on. I've also ordered a can of the Barcelona Red to paint the letters as you have.

I know sometimes photographs don't do colors justice, but the paint you're using looks a little darker. Maybe it's the difference in angles between the Toyota symbol, and the metal beside it. Does the color look a little off in person?

If I'm going to match the factory paint, it has to be the same or I'll leave the covers black.

It's the dupli-color Barcelona red and clear coat. It doesn't show up right in the pics but in person it's spot on the same color as the truck. And hey, they pop on. If I get bored of them there's the chrome underneath completely undamaged.

Finally picked up my cement trd 4Runner after 2 weeks sitting at the dealership, because of 3 cancelled flights, work schedule and a lost check. Thought it wasn't meant to be, but its home sweet home now in New Jersey after a 7 hour drive from Erie, pa. Special thanks to my salesman Casey at superior Toyota. He was great, he got me in and out of the dealership. If anybody is interested, they have one more allocation coming in for a cement at superior Toyota, ask for Casey Doolittle. They sell at msrp though, nothing off.

I've been waiting for almost 2 months now. Every time I bug my salesman for updates he says he has no idea. I'm getting slightly impatient. It really bugs me how they have no information at all when the next shipment is coming.

Good seeing everyone taking delivery of the 4runner. My has been just sitting at the dealer lot all paid for. Who would of thought Wyoming is the most unpopular route for auto transport LOL.. Sigh.. Sadly I don't even have time to fly out to pick it up.. Guess I gotta wait little longer..

That's where I bought them. They also have them on amazon but you have to get the whole sr5 kit instead of just the rear.
