4runner TRD Pro

Power struggle

Just returned from a weekend trip in Colorado with my 17' Pro. I was a little disappointed with the way it struggled on the highway in Kansas and Colorado. I understand the whole altitude issue, but I was getting lapped by every other 4Runner from my home in Kansas, all the way through Colorado! You had to keep your foot in it the whole time. Maybe it's because I am so used to my diesel truck? Am I concerned for no reason?

Maybe the second time will be the charm!!! Put down a deposit yesterday on a inbound Cement. It is supposed to be in port on the 9th. Hopefully will reach the dealer by middle of the month, but most likely the end of the month. It has the remote start, all wx liners/cargo tray, cross bars, and hitch ball mount. I would have preferred no options, but a extra $993 in options is not a deal breaker with these unicorns.

Hope you get it this time. What's your port of entry?
Mine was built on 6/6/17. Still in transit to Houston VPC.

I am not sure. I asked him yesterday and he pulled it up saying when it was due into port. The only real info I received is the V-Spec sheet.

I will be shipping my Cement TRD Pro from a military base in Louisiana to one in New York. Does anyone have a shipping company they recommend? I am shopping around and they are either ridiculously overpriced or too scammy with terrible reviews. Thanks in advance

:wink2: Only 4:30 hrs.... sigh... That's a walk in the park...At this point all I have is the V-Spec to hold me over.... Does anybody have assess to "Dealer Daily" to check status?

As far as I know, you got to call the inventory manager or your sales person to track it.

It's sluggish for sure, when going up mountains I lock it in a gear unless it starts revving too high, otherwise it gets in that area where it wants to bog hard.

I bought my Pro from a dealer in Iowa and had it shipped to CA using Executive Auto Shippers. Competitive rate, fast shipping/scheduling, and good communication. They have great reviews on Yelp, uShip, Consumer Affairs, and Better Business Bureau. They are a 3PL/broker, so they don't use their own trucks (which is what you'll find with most of the auto shipping companies -- few have their own trucks).

I worked with Melissa Freeman. PM me if you have any other questions.

Well it looks like I'll be either selling my Cement or trading it in. Really need a 3rd row and I miss having a moonroof. Will probably get an SR5 in nautical blue, the color I've always wanted. Thank god for the resale on these things. Its the only thing keeping the wife from kicking me out of the house.

Be sure to check the third row before buying. It's quite tight!

I would love to lift my pro about 2 or 3 inches. What is the best way to do this without having an affect on the expansive suspension that's unique to the pro? Would a cornfed lift have any negative affects on the suspension or make it drive any differently? Thanks for the help!

I was visiting my family over July 4th and noticed that Koch 33 Toyota in Easton, PA has a cement trd pro available and sitting on their lot. I looked it up online and they were listing it for $43,609. Not sure if it's still available as of today but that seems like a good deal.
