4runner TRD Pro

Just got a call from my dealer that they have a Cement TRD Pro Tacoma if any of you know someone that is looking for one let me know

I think we are closing in on a deal for a 2017 Super White 4Runner TRD PRO! We placed a deposit for one that is on the ground, and are going to pick it up Monday. The only reason this may fall through is my trade. They gave me a written estimate, but the number is pending inspection. My trade is perfect, but I am not going to be naive. Are there any accessories available on the TRD PRO that are worth getting at the dealer? I assume most items could be added later for a lot cheaper? We were considering the two in one led fog lights and the running boards.

Good luck! Hope it works out. Hard to believe they would deviate a lot from your trade appraisal especially if you have a written estimate in writing.

Good luck. Skip the dealer mods. You can always get them later for cheaper.

Got the call the the Cement Pro just showed up at the dealer. Ordered it the first of June. Came sooner than they expected. I suppose I'll head that way next weekend and pick it up. IMG_0575.JPG

Friend that is the internet manager at a toyota dealer here bought his wife a red trd pro about 3-4 months ago. He is already looking to get rid of it and get her a bigger car. She told me this and as soon as she was done cutting my hair at the salon, I headed over to see my friend (her husband) about it. And he said, don't buy it. I won't do that too you. I was like, whats wrong with it. He said nothing, I just don't want you to pay for this one. I am selling it for what they are worth right now which is over what we paid $48k, he said range. He was like we can order you a 2018 and get you one for cost when you are ready. I was like dang it. I was about to get it if he would sell it to me at a normal price for a slightly used 4runner. Nope. :/ He wants to make some $$ on it to get her the bigger car.

Oh well. :( I'll just wait till I am ready like originally planned. :P

At cost??? You lucky dog....:guitar2:

Yeah, he said he would do that for me as I am a friend of the family. But sadly, he doesn't have one to sell me. :/

I just found two cements near me. One in Arlington, and one in Tulsa, OK. I emailed them to ask them what is their best prices. Unless they are great deals, I won't make the effort and just wait till next year. I am in no hurry to get one right now anyways. :)

Edit: Scratch the Tulsa one. It sold yesterday.

Anyone know of a Cement Pro at a dealer near Northern VA? Just thought I might find one where the person that ordered it cancelled. I passed on a tan one last year like that because I wasn't ready to buy.

This could include MD, VA, PA and WV.

Thanks.

Just dig deep on this thread and watch daily. Do the cars.com and autotrader.com thing daily and if you are ready you will see one pop up.

Most people throwing the hail mary's currently are scoring with tons of phone calls and wait times (much shorter than the "Pre-Orders"). Make sure you get a vin number and have the dealer confirm with their "inventory manager" or "stock manager" or GM before you float them any money on an inbound truck... most are spoken for but with the back outs you can get your name on the top of their wait list and they will call you direct.

This forum has been terrific by passing along fast information, usually ahead of the .com's

Good luck!!!

x2 on this. I found mine (Barcelona Red) on Auto Trader at a local dealer after searching on-line for about 6 to 8 weeks. There were others that popped up, but they were a distance away and I did not have the time to look at them.

Waldorf Toyota in Waldorf MD claims to have three TRD Pros available (called me today w this info). Be aware last time I spoke to them they were adding a 'market adjustment' over MSRP, but if you want one now, they've got 'em.

Thanks guys. Found a few from the leads in these threads and pms sent to me. I'm patient to wait for msrp on a Pro or just go for a deal on the right TRD ORP (without KDSS for me).

resale

Just curious, I know the resale value is crazy good on the pro. Does that hold true for all the colors? ie -white, black? Or just the special colors like cement and quicksand etc.. Thanks

TRD PRO Cement

Picked up my trd pro in cement today.
Here is the timeline of events...hope it helps others still patiently waiting for their TRD PRO's.
Vehicle built: 6/6/17
Put a deposit down on 6/23/17
In transit to VPC: 7/9/2017
Received at VPC: 7/17/17
Loadline: 7/19/17
Shipped to Dealer: 7/20/17
Arrived at Dealership: 7/22/17
Purchased: 7/22/17

Was super excited when I got the message from the dealer. Estimated delivery was first week of August but it arrived a lot sooner. Was in and out of the dealership in couple of hours. Highly recommend Steve Landers Toyota in Bentonville, Arkansas. Contact Jason Cunningham if you are looking for one.
80 mile drive home was amazing. Really like how well it eats up the pot holes, cracks and bumps. Like others, I also noticed the nose dive while braking. I might replace the front coils with Dobinson's to get rid of the rake and hopefully the nose dive. I like the look of stock Nitto's. Very minimal road noise too. I was going to replace them with 275 KO2's but I think I'll just keep the stock ones for now. I've got to look for some sliders now. Was going to get C4's but they are almost a grand. I think I'll go with either Shockworks or White-Knuckle sliders. Shockworks is cheaper but White-Knuckle has bump out and no drilling required. Except for cost, is there any reason to pick Shockworks over White-Knuckle?
