Im on my third pro. Went from quicksand to red to cement. First two pros showed up as trd pro and now when i got the cement it came up as an sr5 and my insurance went down lol. Anyone else insurance show up as an sr5?

Mine (State Farm) is listed as a Limited. Will having the PRO listed as an SR5 effect how much they cover if it should be totaled? Say you had a Z06 listed as a base Stingray, that could be a 40K difference in price (should an accident occur).

That's very interesting and it made me look at mine. My 15 inferno is just listed as 4Runner. It doesn't even give a model. I have State Farm as well.

Hi, can you please give me the specs of how you got a 6" lift?
Thx

RMS OffRoad in Long Island NY did the work of combining parts from a BDS and Procomp FJ lift kits. It required some chassis mods to drop the diff. the rest is long travel Kings and off the shelf Camburg UCA's

To help with the insurance situation..

At first they had mine listed as a TRD Pro.. ended up having the wrong VIN number on paperwork, so had to redo and they accidentally put TRD Off-road. Insurance went down about $20. Asked them if it was okay, and they made a mistake and put back TRD Pro and of course went up in price. From what I know, you have to tell them the model, but every insurance could be different

Heard from a member there may be a Cement Pro at Greensburg Toyota outside of Pittsburgh. He passed on it - the deal was msrp. I changed directions and picked up a TRD OR.

Waiting on a call back from my agent, an independent, but when we spoke she asked me if it was the TRD Pro package and made a selection as if in their program Pro Package exists... again I will edit when I get that call.

For now I am going to go play with my kids and practice installing everything that is in cardboard boxes that has already arrived!

Spoke at length w/ insurance then the dealer... according to both, the VIN series is in fact "2017 Toyota 4Runner". (SR5)

Worse case scenario your rig gets snatched day one and you make the claim for replacement, any insurance company will try to offer you a check. Since the final decision is on the adjuster they are the ones that need to prove the cost/value for replacement. What I was told was if I want to make the adjustments from the start and pay the extra premium all I need to do is send a photo of the window sticker to the agent so it is on record what exactly I have. Also, as the build progresses add photos and receipts (Build thread), no guarantee obviously but you stand a fighting chance then for some redemption if the coverage has provisions for it.

Your financing will also account for trim package but in the end the best advice I got was to just tell the adjuster to replace it in kind. Period. This will force their hand in doing the actual leg work and realizing the true value of the vehicle. I was given some examples of trying to replace a 2017 Tundra TRD PRO that was totaled and there was only one in 500 miles but it was something like $2k above MSPR, found by a dealer. they guy got his truck but it was ~3 months later. Prior to the replacement getting found the replacement check offer kept getting bigger, but never matched the true market value.

The short and skinny of it, drive safe or get educated and stand your ground.

Picked up the new beast yesterday! :reddance:
