4runner TRD Pro

Just picked up a Cement for $1900 under MSRP. Been searching cars.com and autotrader for weeks. One popped up and dealership showed an internet price discounting it $1900. I've seen this before and when I contacted to try to buy was told internet price for that unit was not correct. This dealership immediately quoted the discounted price via email. I asked them to quote my trade and they came back low on trade. Assumed this was their way to make it up. Told them I wanted to buy out right with no trade and they honored the price. Immediately placed deposit and went to pick it up. When I arrived at dealership to pick it up, I was told they had 9 names/numbers waiting in the event I didn't complete the purchase.

Sold my used vehicle to carmax for $2000 more than dealership quoted as trade value. Pretty excited about the deal.

Can you post up the dealer paperwork.....1900 under msrp is unheard of.

Anyone know where this console came from? I assume it's not stock...

I can probably have a piece like that made if those without it want something similiar. Anyone try to price it from Toyota?

The CF look piece? All 17 TRDOR and Pro have it. The pro and ORP interiors are now identical in every possible way minus floormats.

My public school math sucks, but by my math you got $780 off. They got you on high bs fee's!! WTF is a highway use tax??

Highway use tax is South Carolina sales tax on vehicle purchase (5% on first $10k of purchase price). It's capped at $500. $34 is transfer of plates from old vehicle to new. Agree that $599 is on the high end of dealer doc/prep fees but every dealer in my area ranged from $450-699 doc/prep fee. All states are different in regards to taxes so you can really only compare vehicle price and any dealer fee.

Thanks, looks better than I imagined heritage blue would have. Really wanted a cement, but jacked around for too long thinking about it. I have absolutely no use for a 4x4, but just can't keep away from this forum...and esp the TRD Pro special colors.

Yes all 17s have it. Don't bother. It is fake CF plastic texture. Has a more fake look to it thank the painted plastic before it.

There's still time to get a cement. I looked on cars.com yesterday morning, found 2 available at dealers in TX, and bought one in Temple.

1900 is awesome. Ive bought each of 3 trd pros for 1,000 each under msrp. It's still worth msrp though!

I'd take only getting robbed of $500 of my already taxed income... I will be shelling out over $3,100 to the sate of Ohio just because I am a resident here... I know, not the place to cry about it, and "at least" I get to write it off come tax time but

& jkintn I agree you did very well. Thanks for sharing the paperwork too. Looks like without the tax situation for me your deal got mine by about 400. Bravo

I can't imagine them getting more than $1-$2K over MSRP in Texas but what do I know.

That's pretty amazing that they would ask $10K over sticker. Who, in their right mind would pay that?????

I can guarantee that you can get one here in the northeast for no more than MSRP and probably under that. I got my SR5 premium under invoice. They can only be asking that if people are paying it.

For $10K, you could fly up here to the northeast, purchase your vehicle and then take a month long vacation, driving back. You could stay at beautiful hotels, eat fancy meals, sight see, etc.

That's pretty much what they are going for here in Colorado as well. $53-$55k.

I was able to get a TRD off road for $40k and put $5k into a lift. Better option IMHO.
