Did you call the guy and ask him the price? Could be they are marked up online but the T4R price is lower.

You shouldn't have problems as the 4runner is a 50-state emissions car. If you want to be extra sure, have the seller verify that the car has the 50-state tag in the engine bay. You'll need to have the car smogged and VIN-verified when you bring it into CA. I had to do this even with a new car.
@scatterbrain88 Lionel_Hutz is correct. I purchased a new TRD Pro '18 this past Xmas in Seattle, WA. I let the dealer know I lived in California before I put a deposit on the allocated Cavalry Blue. The finance office gave me a copy of the purchase order & the title when I picked up my 4Runner. I had to purchase three trip permits (3 days/ permit) while I visited Washington & drove back to California. I then visited CA DMV w/ paperwork to pay the registration and fees. The next day, I had to get the 4Runner smogged & vehicle inspected where DMV inspector checked my VIN, engine & mileage. It took me two DMV visits because I didn't know what exactly I needed to register my car. The out of state dealership will later ask for proof you registered the new vehicle in your state of residence. Hope that helps.:thumb:
Well that is what I paid for my Trail out the door. It's the same thing as a PRO without the fancy color and other accessories that drive the price to ridiculous levels for a Trail with some accessories.
That is just an insane price for that vehicle! Wow!

Wow is right. 2 years old and selling for the same price as a new one smh. Dealer probably thought limited run color commands a premium price.
I had a good experience buying my 2017 Cement TRD Pro. I spent a lot of time tracking a vehicle down, and made a lot of calls. Finally found a dealer that would sell me one. The saleswoman told me the truth about every aspect, so I gave her a deposit for the vehicle over the phone. It was out of state, but in a place that I was visiting. So, I flew in for my vacation, drove to the dealer, papered the car and arranged to ship it to my house. The numbers were not monkeyed with so I gladly signed and my wife put the first few miles on the odometer. Then it was shipped to my house. I’m loving it so far.
Given that the truck is no longer on their website, seems the dealer was right :keyboard:
Not sure why people hate on dealers for making a buck, if people will pay the price, so what?
I can't hate if they're clear on their asking price, but so often they're just dishonest like on the last page of this very thread.

Could it be possible that alot of dealers are marking up TRD Pro prices because they are holding them for customers that ordered them to deter random walk-in buyers?
No, most SoCal dealers mark them up regardless if its a customer order or sitting on the lot. A dealer can't just sell a walk-in a customer ordered vehicle if a deposit was made and a contract signed. However, they will put customer's vehicle on their website as available just to get you to come in to the dealer.

I've seen TRDP "Replicas" that are used selling for $40k plus here in TX and they advertise them as Pros, getting the people who believe the TRDP is nothing more than a grill emblem and a skid plate to pay it.
There is a White Pro currently on the lot at Autonation Tempe.
Also, there is a second white pro on its way that is not allocated.
Speak to Kim Franklin and she will make arrangements for either, at MSRP.
I just picked mine up on Saturday and Kim was fantastic to work with.
