yeah you are right. the shiny blackness of the door pillars does look good though. after having hacked the crap out of my truck this week, quite literally, I need to work on the appearance a bit. I wouldnt want my dad to take his truck away from me. Im rebuilding my headlights right now, getting the dust out and taking the leds out for now, i miss the completely blacked out look during the day.

I think he's trying to show us the trims on the B pillar between the two doors.
My 4 runner has flat black on one side, and body color on the other side. At some point the doors were replaced on the pass side I believe and they forgot to black out the door frame there. I actually like it that way and will be painting the blackout side green if I ever get around to doing a paint job.

It took me 1 one week. Also if you guys want to restore faded headlights using toothpaste with a small tooth brush using water. I guaranteed you will save money instead buying new headlights. (Only for 96 - 98 4Runner Models)
