Hey everyone, just got a question about a 4runner I found on craigslist.
It is a 2000 black SR5 V6 4x4 with a 5 speed, sport hood, moon roof, the whole package. Ad says that it has dealer installed leather seats and has all paperwork for the car. Does not have a radio though and the leather from the door panels look like it is peeling (driver panel at least). Looks like those are the only negatives from the pics that I can see.
The only thing that is really keeping me from jumping on the car is that it has 151k miles on the body and has a new engine with 30k on it. I asked about the engine and he said that the engine saw some water and it was starting to get high miles anyway. Reason for selling is that he is getting a much newer car. (He also emailed me a few days later telling me it is still available, if that gives you any tells). I know it's risky for new motor in used cars so that's why i'm wondering what you guys think.
He had it set at $7,000 last week but now he changed it to $5,500. (Do not know why he lowered it so much...)
Question is if that would be a 4runner worth getting if everything checks out well. I know its pretty rare to find them with 5 speed trans. and usually with pretty high mileage.
