Well finished my Taco Whip. Pretty easy mod.
Took it into some mud after the rain, that's always fun.
Then shined her up.

Alright. Only about 200 bucks away from my paint job.

So here is my list in order of what is coming up soon.

1) Paint Job
2) Projector Headlights (Currently gathering materials)
3) Rear Diff Locker (On the search for a whole rear axle out of stocky.)
4) Sliders

Your paint is a little oxidized, but if your planning on wheeling it I would wait. Its nice not having to worry about it. . Still it looks fine to me.

I would buy sliders and a locker way before paint

I'm painting it first anyways because 95% of the time its on the road. and I think it's ugly, so I'm going to paint it.

Exactly. I can see how someone who is a serious hard core 4wheeler would see that painting a 4runner is a waste of money, but to me, it's worth it.

Hey i never though I would end up beating up my 4runner so much. it just kind of happened. WTF is up with that LOL . When i was in high school my truck was so shiny and clean. I washed and waxed it all the time it was super nice. I know how it is to like to look at it and just enjoy it. I drove my 4runner 25K + miles a year for a few years.

Then I got a car and it went down the drain I guess...

thats why i like reading all the build threads. Everyone has their own ideas on what they want, what they like, ect. Its cool

That's me exactly. I am a highschool kid that takes better care of a 16 year old car then his friend does with his 2012 Dodge Challenger.

You know my 4runner is lifted? I have Old Man Emu all the way around, given it's only two inches of lift, but still it'll do until I have a job.
Only being 15, I can't get a job until the end of this summer.

My Dad would probably pay for the projector lights. :guitar3:
My current headlights have decided to be re****ed.

Stereo is down the road a little bit too. My Kenwood is a great head unit, but ya the speakers will need an upgrade.

Not to jack your thread 4RunningDaily, but if you look at the first page of 4runit's build thread his 4runner does in fact look sunfire red pearl. But later on affter the modding begins and he eventually shines it up, it seems like it changes colors. Like a candy apple red! Haha look at his build thread and tell me what you think.

Once again man not trying to jack your thread at all, but I just had to get this off my chest. BTW, nice progress on the 4runner and your doing good work for only being 15 or 16 years old. If you stick with it throughout high school and maybe college I can already tell you'll have a *****in 4runner by the time your 20!

Well I dropped it off at paint this morning.


After I get it back from paint I'll be saving to do a little maintenance (Spark Plugs & Wires, Muffler, Tranny Fluid). Then Sliders and an Elocker!
