i hear you have been having issues with your MTRs and balancing... -ill be honest i have not read through all of your posts on the issues or the build, so if this has come up forgive me. im also not gonna insult your intelligence and tell you to try this or hint at suggestions of other issues. i believe you when you say its a tire issue. that being said. have you swapped out the tires for other MTRs. while i have not put a ton of miles on my MTRs they are butter smooth, even after sitting for almost 6months. id take them back to where ever you bought them and tell them you want them to either make them smooth via balancing or replace them with a new set, and if the shop hesitates call GoodYear and talk go through them.

I've tried rebalancing, even tried Dynabeads. Every other person I've talked to with MTR's says the same thing, "They come egg-shaped from the factory." I had no issues with vibrations on my KM2's. Discount wants me to file a claim with Goodyear, but I don't really care enough to. I'll just deal with it for 2 years and then it will be time to buy some Toyo M/T's unless Cooper starts making the Pro in 315/75/16

you dont know egg shaped until you run bighorns...

thats odd, cause all the guys i know running them up here, love them and daily drive them with no issues at all. its at least worth a call to goodyear i would think.

-what colleges did your sister look at up this way? and that pic of the bay bridge is awesome sauce!

My sister was looking at University of Oregon and Oregon State. As a future engineering major, she's swinging towards Oregon State, but we'll see what the UC's have to offer her first.

Loving the pics by the lake. Those meats look sexy as well. I've always been a fan of the bronze wheels on your rig too. The truck is looking good! What coils are you thinking of getting next? I've actually been tossing around the idea of buying some superflex coils and ditching my 7 wraps, but I don't want them making any noise. I hadn't actually heard of that being an issue for the superflex coils.

I love my 265/75R16s
They balanced well and are quiet compared to any other aggressive tire I've used.

They make a lot of noise. The progressive springs causes lots of coil slap which makes for a very noisy ride.

Really? I have not noticed that with mine. I have about 5,000 miles on them so far with no noise aside from my 14" Magnaflow drone.

Shops wanted anywhere from $800 to $600. I already had the metal and tools. So I said **** it, I want to wheel the shit out of this thing in AZ, so I better get it ready.

For the sheet of metal I'm welding in place, I actually have it overlap the hole from the inside. So basically I'll be welding 2 separate lap welds. Then I'll seal it from both sides.

Did the 4Runner brakes over the last 2 days:
Front rotors, front pads, rear drums, rear brake shoes.

Then I have to pay for parking and insurance on a second car and have to deal with maintenance on it too. I don't even have time to wheel anymore. I'm gonna take a nice 3 year break from off-roading and come back with a dedicated crawler.

I was wondering when this was coming. I thought this was the plan (to at least get the Focus GT) for college back some time ago.

I can't believe the Porsche has that many miles on it and looks that good. Chemical Guys hard at work.
