It must have been the 35's. Anyway, someone needs to buy this from him who will then sell it back once he feels the time is right.

35's are badass and made this rig fun again. I just don't have time to go out and enjoy it like I use to.

I hear you and I was joking on the 35's. In the near future I might not have as much time for offroading, over landing or camping either.

Then I have to store the extra set of wheels somewhere, and swap them every time I do find a little bit of time to wheel.

I have come to a place similar to yours. I bought 33's and didn't change my gearing. I went from 19 mpg to 13-14. Its not fun to drive anymore. I have 3.90's. So I've made a turn in my build. I'm selling the 33's and going back to a light 32. (a camping expedition rig) Maybe a better option is to make it a more forgiving daily driver for the next 3 years and then go crazy with it.

Exactly. A nice 1st gen Tundra with VVTI would be a great commuter and then go full retard once I'm through college

Sometimes I feel like throwing mine up for sale for way more than it's worth and see if anything happens(which I might get what I want for it up here in the PNW. I'd regret it a little but I'd just take the money and buy a nice 100 series and start the next chapter of our expo vehicles.

This is pretty much how I feel. If someone pays me close to my ridiculous asking price, they can have it. I'll go buy a Tundra or a brand new Focus ST. If no one buys it, I'll continue to put miles on it and wheel it.

Woah! Hold on! From a guy in a very similar position as you, I can't imagine considering selling mine. Being born and raised in the same truck you still have is something special. If your anything like me, you have a connection to that truck that you will NEVER have with another vehicle, or item for that matter. I'm going through the process of selling the Mustang that I bought when I was 12 and spent countless hours restoring. It would make a lot more financial sense to keep this Mustang that will continue to gain value and sell the 4runner. I'm keeping my 4runner because I know I have a connection with the truck that I could never get back if I sold it. I think selling your truck needs to be a long term decision, not just because something else will be more practical for the moment.
