Well that caused all sorts of problems because he was blocking the only real line, so this badass IFS rig made his own line

Cool pics Connor! You did a good job of capturing the action.

That race has really become a big thing, huh? I can't believe how large the crowd is in those pics. Wow. Where do all those people stay at night? I'm just picturing a square mile of desert floor covered in little piles of poop and TP from campers.

Nasty mental image aside, that looks like a lot of fun. It must be quite a show watching those rigs charge up lines that would demolish most vehicles.

Johnson Valley is a huge OHV with free open camping everywhere. So you can spread out as much as you want. I slept just outside of the main town, Hammertown, and it was perfectly quiet. Bathroom wise there are tons of port-a-potties in Hammertown and the majority of the people there have RV's. So nothing smelled and I never saw any thing on the ground. I believe there were somewhere around 40,000 people there.

Looking at the suspension designs of the Ultra 4 rigs gave me some really bad ideas ;)

Lots of sweet runners there! I was surprised how many 1st gens there were, they seemed to outnumber every other generation of 4Runner combined. Hopefully next year I'll actually find you Connor. I had this suspicion you had the red plaid, but I saw you on the Dodge and not actually get in the runner until you were leaving. I should of walked over and randomly yelled your name to see if you would react before you left.
 
The Toyota turnout gets better every year. The 1st gen population is quite impressive. I tried to find you out there, reception was a ***** though.

You too bud! Glad you made it out there after all! I left pretty early on Friday to get down to San Diego, otherwise I would have tried harder to find Sniv and you.

Not too shabby- I think that first shot is really cool.

The settings you shot at are weird.

Trying turn your ISO wayyyy up (3200 or so?) and speed the shutter up some. Like 20 seconds maybe.

Is that the only lense you've got? Some of my best night shots were with my kit lense set to f-3.5/18, 20 second shutter, and ISO 3200. Ideally I think you'd want an f stop closer to 2.5, but I don't have a lense that'll pull that under 35mm.

Like I said, I'm not very familiar with what settings to use when, however I am familiar with the vocab. So I will definitely try all of that out, hopefully tonight.

I have another lens but it's a lot more of a distance lens.
