syncros, bushing...
I've been doing my research and it seams as if the bushing is defiantly the cause of the 4th gear popping out. I also read that the syncros will be "eaten up and spit out" if the wrong fluid was used in a transmission oil change.
I just bought this truck and had jiffy lube due the diff's, transmission oil change and lube everything. Do you think they fuc*ed it up, wrong fluid which messed up the syncros??? I know, I should have done it myself...it was just convenient at the time. BigO tire was doing a balance and Sh*ty lube was across the street.
This all started when there was a high pitch whining when in 5th gear at about 70MPH. The only gear that does not sound "whining" is 4th??? And that's the one that pops out of gear.
What should I do?
Please help me out....
