Will the only Toyota e-Locker that will fit my 05' V8 Sport rear diff from an FJ?

I know about the aftermarket options.

Thanks!

how much room in the interior will a compressor and onboard air tank take up?

Interior?????

They go on the inner vendor, under the hood. Plenty of room.

I wrestled with this idea a bit. While it is nice to have a factory-ish e-locker, really seems cost prohibitive.

For a toyota e-locker, You have to change out some diff components, install the electronics and then install the switch. Unless your diff is blown and you can just drop in an FJC e-diff, I would go with an ARB and be done, still around 1500.00.

I know which diff I would need from ARB but could someone point me to the other parts I would need to make this happen?

I don't think anyone in here has done this. Btw, there was no 05 FJC, 06 was the first year. You should go to the fjcruiser forum and see if someone has added an e-locker to an FJC that did not have one from the factory. Then all you have to do is duplicate that. The engine, tranny and diffs are all the same. The diffs are all the same from 06-11..you don't want a smokin deal on an 06 FJC diff because that was the first year and they were blowing up.

Also, some friendly advice.... you might want to do some searches in that forum before you just post up in general discussions with your question.

Doing your own search will work, otherwise one of them in there will have to do it for you and thus you might get flamed.. Just sayin..

RD111 FOR THE FRONT

RD132 FOR THE REAR

Those are the ARB part #'s. You'd of course need the compressor

edit: oops misread your post!
