4th gen 4Runner Secrets?

If you have MP3 or WAV files on a disc and the files are in different folders, holding down the next track (or previous track) button on the steering wheel control will allow you to change to the next folder.

Are we still talking about factory 4Runner secrets here? The factory head unit plays MP3s?

If you've got rear air suspension, after driving and turning off the engine, the rear air suspension will automatically lower the rear. Supposedly to make it easier to get access to the cargo area but I doubt 1.5" will help any.

What is happening is; when you get out of the vehicle (system is set on auto) the system senses the height difference and lower the vehicle. It is not going into the low setting; it is just adjusting from you getting out of the vehicle. It will not happen all the time. It is cool when you have several people in the truck and when they get out the truck automatically readjusts. I do use the low setting to wash the truck, load the cargo area, hook up to a trailer and clear the rear of the trailer when passing over a low driveway.

MP3/WMA playback support was added to 2006+ 4Runners.

The sensor is triggered by the height of the vehicle not weight.

Are you turning the lights on either when the truck is running or the key is in the "on" position? If you turn the lights on either when the key is in ACC or off, the lights won't turn off with the remote.

Thats weird. Do your lights turn of 30 seconds after the truck is turned off?

on a single disk cd player (or possibly on multi-disk<jbl>)... If you burn a cd through itunes, you can set it so if you press the text button when the cd is in the cd player, whatever song you're listening to is displayed!

another one i don't think i saw was in addition to your outside lights that should shut off after 30 secs (or with the 2nd press press of the lock button), is any interior light left on will also shut off (dome/map lights).

yup after several minutes if you leave a door open the dome lights/door lights will automatically turn off to save your battery.

Plus since someone mentioned the atuomatic roll down of the windows with the remote on a Lexus GS, that's available in ALL Lexus vehicles and usually the sales person demonstrates that feature during your test drive. ;): Why can't you roll it back up with the remote, is another story... Who knows! But I know that my friend's 07 ML350 can roll the windows down AND UP with the remote! :bash:

You can program your doors to lock either when shifting out of park or going over 13mph and you can program your doors to unlock when you shift into park or open the drivers door.

SERIOUSLY!?!?!? I have the LTD and a friend who has the SR5 and is jealous of my duel climate (no offense to SR5 owners), but her's unlocks when she puts her's into back into park from drive/reverse! Mine currently locks when i take it out of park, but how can i get it to unlock automatically? Steps to program this would be greatly appreciated!

Ok, on mine, the lights dont turn off with a double tap of the lock fob. What am I doing wrong?

I read this and tried it, does not work on mine either. I press lock twice and the lights do not go back out. The lights come on when I press the lock or unlock buttons and go out after 30 or so seconds. Not sure if this is normal or if there are different systems or what?

This is really weird. My 2003 Sport had this feature as well. Do you have an aftermarket alarm system installed on your truck?
