We are looking at a used 2007 4G Limited. It apparently had an aftermarket shark fin on the roof that the PO pulled off because the goo is still up there. It also has a round base for a stub antenna with the antenna and mounting gone. The is no fender antenna.
The dealer is telling us that the roof antenna is aftermarket and the window antenna is the only one that came in this 4Runner. They are saying there was no Toyota roof antenna so they can't get the part. Which I find odd since the parts fiche shows one and our two 3G 4Runners had two antennas.
So is that a Toyota antenna up there and the dealer is blowing me off or is that really an after market part I am stuck with? And is that the parts diagram for it or some other kind of antenna. This concerns me because reception tended to be crap in our 3G's with the power antenna down.
