5th vs 4th gen models

Hey....sorry for trying to revive an old thread. I've been hunting around the forums without luck. According to Curt's website my 2006 isn't compatible with any of the front hitches. However, my truck has the "angled" recovery loops just like the '07 that they do list. Does anyone know for sure this will fit. I've read about '04 and older models that have the "flat" loops on the frame being a problem.

Also, it looks like they have 2 versions for the 5th gen. The 31076 and 31054. Both of these models have an additional long tab that connects to an existing weld nut in the frame, just behind the recovery loops. Does anyone know if the 5th Gen models will fit the 4th gen??

Does anyone have a part number for the Curt front receiver? I can't seem to find one online, but see that a few guys here are running one. My 4th gen is a 2003.

Same issue here, Curt dosent show a part number for the 2003-2009 models?? Neither does Hidden Hitch. Only one I can find if the $369 CBI!!
Please advise.

guys a little mod i did to my front carrier. drilled a hole and went to home depot to get one of these orange marker sticks to i remember that this thing is in front of my truck. i also bought the harbor freight carrier for a atv that pitches up a little more. as you can see from the pictures.

I was going to suggest that very same thing. What I would go with are the lighted corner markers truckers use so you can see where the corners are day or night more easily. I am the kind of person that would probably forget that it is there if my load was below my hoodline and couldn't see it. It should be an easy job to tap it into your running lights...
