4th Gen owner looking at 5th Gen vs Tundra

Hello everybody. I posted up years ago when I purchased a 2006 sport and 750 miles later my wife was t-boned in it.
We had it repaired and it now has 160k miles. I love it. I had a tundra at the time and ended up trading it on a jeep to fix my offroading desires.
We are now expecting an addition to the family and the jeep needs to go.

I am stuck between a new 4Runner and Tundra. The main reasons for the trade is the addition of a family member
and to get something more reliable. The Jeep sucks for both of those reasons.

We will be purchasing a boat in the near future so I will use it to tow with. We are about 50 miles to the water
and the boat should weigh in around 3-4k lbs. I think either vehicle will be fine. I know I'm on the 4Runner site asking
for opinions and they should be slightly one sided but any thoughts.

The 4runner is in the lead due to the extra cargo room, possible 3rd row seats, several thousand dollars less for same set-up.
I could be wrong but I also feel the runner is built better but I don't know that for sure. I have spent countless hours on this forum reading
as well as a tundra forum. There seems to be more complaints on the Tundra forum.

I tow my 20ft Crownline a little over 40 miles one way to the lake with my 4th gen 4runner.....Tows it just fine.

I haven't towed it yet with the wife's 5th gen yet, but I'm sure it would do just as good or better.

Thanks for the input. You have what I really want in your signature. I would love to find an unmolested terminator. I sold Fords during that time frame and can't tell you how many of them I drove. I worked for a larger dealership that had plenty of them at all times.

I picked it up about 2 years ago, and it was bone stock with only 16,000 miles on it. It is definitely the most fun car I have ever owned!
