what is the depth of the rack and what does is mount to. Does it mount to the factory racks cross members?

Depth is roughly 4.5in and yes it mounts to stock cross members. It has wing nuts for quick attach/detachment- but what I did was mount it with lock washers and nylon nuts as just one more step for a sticky finger bandit who would steal it.
