4th Gen Suspension Options/FAQ

I'm looking at leveling out my 2004 V8 4WD, and it seems like a good option is to do the Tacoma suspension swap that people are recommending, but does anybody know if the 2024-2025 Tacoma front suspension still bolts right up to a 4th Gen 4Runner? I'm looking at a great deal on some Bilsteins, but I didn't want to assume that they're the same on a 4th gen Tacoma as a 3rd gen. They're the red shocks with the blue boots, if that helps. Anyway I thought I'd post this in case anyone wondered about the part numbers for this type of set up. My 4Runner is a daily driver the roughest terrain it sees is an occasional moderate Forest Service Road (FSR). More or less a pavement princess.

There's no end to the way you can go with suspension on our 4runners, but I would suggest that the bushings not be overlooked when upgrading suspension. The OEM LCA and UCA use rubber bushings that are put in tension so movement is restricted by having to twist the rubber to get suspension movement (remove your struts and try and move you LCA and UCA by hand to see what I mean). If quality poly bushes are installed you then get relatively free movement.
The next thing I did (and I'm sure many will disagree) was replace the OEM LCA alignment hardware with non-adjustable and have it positioned in the neutral position and do my alignment via SPC UCA. IMO having the LCA locked in a "cocked" position ( front adjuster forward or back, rear adjuster the opposite) makes no sense for good movement. My 4R is a pavement princess by the way.

New to the site but having been reading a ton of great info on suspension upgrade on 4Runners. I have a new to me 2006 4runner 4x4 SR5 no X-REAS I need to replace all four shocks and coils, I found these take offs from a 2025 Tacoma TRD (not sure if they are sport or OR) on marketplace. Can anyone tell me if these components will fit on my rig, I familiar with bottom bushing upgrade on the rears and possibly having hone out some top mounts but other than that I can't seem to find any info on the 2025 Tacoma compatibility with my 4Runner. Sorry I'm having trouble adding a photo of the suspension? If anyone has advice on adding photos that would be great too.
