4th gen wheel opinions???

I just picked up a set of fj bbs rd 17" wheels at a steal price. I am undecided if I want to swap my 285 cooper stt's to them or past the steal on. Or another option would be to get them powder coated black. Let me know your opinions thanks in advance.

Personally, I love your setup as is. The SR5 wheels are nice IMO and your rig looks great as is.

In this case, your OEM's look much better then the aftermarket set in that second pic. But hey, you're the one that has to drive it!

I had a can of plasti-dip so I tried one just to get a idea of what the powder coat would look like. I am going to put BBS in red vinyl on the center cap.

The BBS look good (and better now I think black) but I never liked the 5-spokes on the 4runner. Something about 6 lugs / 5 spokes just doesn't work for me. 6 lugs, 6 spokes (or multiple thereof). 5 lugs 5 spokes (or ten).

If you want black rims, plasti-dip your stock ones. Did mine and it's lasted (mostly) though automated car washes, multiple trips to Rausch Creek (with a little rock rash), and several other offroading trips. Plus they look awesome in black.

Those TRD PRO wheels are what I am wanting but I can't find a set for what I gave for the bbs wheels so I figured I would see how these looked on my rig.

Here is a pic with the plasti dipped wheel on the rig. But I didn't have any red vinyl so I just put some white on. Did them being black change any opinions?

I would say pass them on. I just got some 32s on powder coated SR5 wheels and love the look. The style of those BBS wheels seems to clash with the overall style of the 4Runner in my eyes.

bbs look to small, but also arent they lighter?

I agree that they look small but I don't know why because they are both 17's but the bbs are actually 8s and the sr5's 7.5s. I beleive they are going to be up for trade or sale in the near future and I think I am going to wait out on some 17 limited 6 spokes or some trd pro wheell. let me know any other wheel suggestions to look into preferably in a 17.
