4WD Conversion Idea.

I've found that the A340E is the same internally as the A340F, the only differences between the two being the oil pan and the output shaft...

Would I be able to just bolt a manual transfer case onto the back of the modified E transmission at that point if the internals are the same, then run that to both diffs?

The A340E is for a 2wd V6 vehicle while the A340F is for a 4wd 4 cyl truck.
Wouldn't trying it with an A340H (4wd V6) be a better choice?
