4WD Indicator Problem

I have an 05 4Runner.

Because I live in an area where we have alot of snow, I usually leave my car in 4WD.

On the way home the other day, the "four-wheel drive," "center differential lock," and "low speed four-wheel drive" indicators all started flashing.

When I switch back and forth, everything seemed to be fine and it seemed like it locked into 4WD. But after a few seconds, all three indicators started flashing again.

Any suggestions on what my be the problem?

bump............I have the same issue after going off roading in the snow the other night. All three lights come on even in 2wd. Once they come on and blink for a few seconds they stay on. If I switch back n forth they go off but only for a few seconds, then the same thing repeats.

to the OP this "might" work for you. I looked in my manual and it states that there could be a problem with the Traction control system, AUTO LSD system (2WD models), Vehicle stability control system and/or the Hill-start assist control system. So I started with checking the fuses. I checked fuse 19 (ECU-B) under the hood and fuses 34 (4WD) and 39 (ECU-IG) in the vehicle. I removed these fuses and when I seen they were not blown I replaced them. I was going to go further into diagnosing the issue(s), but the Wife told me our Superbowl food was ready for pickup. So I left for the 15 mile round trip and I noticed no lights came on. I switched between 2wd and 4wd hi and everything seemed to operate how it should. I'm guessing pulling the fuses reset any problem and all is well. If this is the case I'd lean more toward fuse 19 and/or 39 helping to reset it since there both ECU fuses and work with the 4WD, TCS and VCC system.

Hope this helps you out. I will report back if the lights come on. Tomorrow I go back to work and I travel 65 miles round trip so if it's going to go back on I'd think it would during that long trip of mixed city, hwy and hill driving.
