4wd issue

Hello, i have a 99 limited and recently i was driving through some high water that was almost to the bottom of the doors and it went through it with out a problem. About 40 miles down the road the 4wd light started to flash on and off randomly but did not try to engage. I pulled over and tried to put it into 4wd and back into 2wd but nothing happened. I kept driving and no noises started so i am wondering if anyone has ever had the same issue as me? I will be going through it after i get back from work and update but wanted a starting point to start looking.

So you're saying 4wd engaged in/out w/out any blinking lights before? The height of water you mention should have been ok - but close to limit.

Try engaging just before a right turn and see what happens. No CEL codes i guess?

i kept it in 2wd the whole trip but the light kept flashing as if it wanted to engage but it wouldnt even when i tried to put it in 4hi and 4hi locked.
