4wd on Dry Pavement on Sr5?

I'm considering buying either a 2002 or 2003 4runner sr5. Do these models have the 4wd that can be used on dry pavement without hurting the vehicle? Forgive me if this is a common question but I've searched the internet and forums and have not found a clear answer.

Yes both the 2002 (3rd gen) and 2003 (4th gen) have a 4wd system that can be used on dry pavement.

4wd is fine on pavement, just don't lock the center differential.
