Thanks for the info TFJ....!
I'll do a search to get more info
I drove my 06 Limited 4WD on deep sand (beach) on 4HI without locking diff. Is it okay?
When do I need to engage 4Lo?
Nothing wrong with it but go ahead and lock the diff to decrease chance of getting stuck.
You can run sand in high range (locked) if you want. Low range can help the transmission run cooler if you're making the truck work hard. It can also deliver power to the wheels less abruptly when getting started if wheel spin is a problem.
Hi there,
How do I lock the differential? how do I know if my 4R has such feature? that would be awesome.
Thanks
