4x innovation bumper

Lol yeah. I could mention how many Ive missed and only hitting three is pretty damned good. I missed 4 when those two hit me at the same time:) freakin heards of em. I'm beginning to think I have my deer stands in the wrong place.

Haha I know same here. Too bad I can't just put my stands next to the road.. I would probably be a lot more successful lol

Those welds are suuuuper nice. I wish I could do that well....
But I absolutely love that bumper, it looks so nice. Congrats on the buy!

I know, I could only dream to be that consistent welding... And thanks man, I don't think I would have bought anything else besides this one

I have been contemplating that bumper and adding a winch. Since this bumper bolts right on is it strong enough to mount a winch or would the bumper need to be welded on? How many bolts are used to mount the bumper?

It should be plenty strong enough for a winch. It uses factory bolts from the stock bumper so it's either 6 or 8 bolds. It's really easy the part that took the longest was taking the stock bumper off. If you wanted to add some tack welds you could but I don't think it would be necessary

I dont have a winch yet... which one would you recommend

Well unfortunately the market for winches that fit into the 4x bumper is shrinking rapidly. Most companies it seems are designing for jeeps these days.

I have an XRC 8 comp that I really like. I don't care what people say about smittybilt their customer service is phenomenal! They just launched version 2.0 of their xrc line though which they botched and made too tall for most of the bumpers on the market for the 4runners. That being said if I were you I would buy a first generation xrc8 and keep it until you have the bumper. Otherwise my next choice would have to be an entry level superwhinch closely followed by a rugged ridge and finaly warn m8k (its last mainly because of cost if I could afford warn I would probably buy a higher end model)

Yeah i realized that the bumper doesnt have that much room for a winch and i want to make sure i dont get one that is too big. I've been looking at warns and they are pricey. Thank you for the feed back, ill have to look into the XRC 8
