4x Innovations sliders - anyone running them?

Looks like we have another baby on the way (this will make three!) and want to give my missus some assistance getting into the Runner while she's pregnant and for getting in and out with an infant - plus I'll end up with some cool sliders of course! This is my DD, I'm a mild off-roader and I'm not currently lifted (running on '99 talls with no running boards). Not interested in 'nerf' or 'step' bars.

Question for anyone running these - is there a decent amount of slider sticking out from the truck after install to use as a step? They look like they fit a little tight in the pictures.

Actualy that's what most of us are running. I just orderd mine a week ago. 215$
I don't know how far they stick out though.

You can kinda use them as steps, but they will still be pretty close to the body. You'll set the angle of the slider itself too when you go to weld them on. Sitting them flatter will make them stick out a little father and also lower so it's easier to get your foot on them.

I haven't added it yet, but a few people on this site have added grip tape to the top to make them more user friendly for steps.

Yeah, I suppose a lot if it is how the angle is chosen when doing the install.

What do you reckon, on average is a fair price for welding them on - a 'real world' price rather than a 'my buddy is a welder' price.

Depending on total cost to buy, ship (into Canada) and weld them on, I may just end up opting locally for a simple bolt-on Westin black 3" tube step bar. Since I'm not a heavy duty wheeler this would do exactly what I need it to do while not being in the way too much overall. Hmmm..decisions, decisions.

I've got 4xInnovation sliders on my truck. However, I customized mine. I had 4xInnovations angle the center tubes. Then I added diamond plating to fill in the openings. I mounted them to the truck horizontally. They work great.

Bandit - those look awesome and great idea but as much as I like them, I'm looking for more 'air' in that area, less filled in.

I have had a set on my truck for a couple years. They have held up pretty good. I had to add an extra leg in the back because they were bending.

I went cheap and bought the HREW version They only have a few small dents. I have not been able to crush them. Great product
