4x4 issue

OK well I just recently purchased a 99 4 runner limited. I knew it had a issue with 4x4. According to the PO...they took it to Toyota they said it would be two grand to fix and made it permanently rwd. (Have a paper saying they change some solenoid)... Now when driving the four tires blink green and the middle dot blinks orange don't know what that means. I have not messed with it fearing to do more harm then good and wanting a plan of attack.

Interesting tid bit. I went on a quick run to Jimmy Johns and had no blinking lights. Went down a slick side road got on it a little went side ways and lights came on for a few seconds then went off. I have drove it on solid dry pavement no slipping and had lights stay blinking.
