4x4 not working investigation

Ok, so on my camping trip last week, my 4x4 mysteriously stopped working. Visual inspection reveals nothing. Everything appears to be in place.

Metal shavings on drain plug for diff.

Ran diff oil through strainer and found no other debris.

With tires on the ground and hubs unlocked, the driveshaft turns smooth.

With front tires off the ground, gears in nuetral (4wd) and hubs locked , I can only turn the tires about a quarter turn and can't see the driveshaft moving.

Gonna follow Toyota Tech: Defeating the ADD System - ORN and finally eliminate the ADD and vaccum lines, but can you guys help me with any tests or tricks you know to check things out?

Bad CV on driver side. On to ADD delete and CV replacement. Thanks to MPleitz, I just happen to have stock CV replacement.

Note to anyone with a diff drop that has to remove a CV- Remove the diff drop first.

That's odd you blew up a cv and didn't hear anything.

I was on some seriously rock trails. There were all kinds of bumps and bangs.

ADD defeated!!!!
