Use it or lose it. It’s important to periodically engage 4Hi, 4Low and center diff lock. Just don’t make turns with center diff lock. Occasionally engaging the 4WD system will ensure you can engage 4WD when you need it.

The best short statement I can think of is "use it when you need it". Such situations are not frequent.

This is EXACTLY what I thought when viewing the 2012+ GX460. Looks like a damn pair of panties on the front.
