5.0 FordRunner ?

O.K. My 88 4Runner has
lots and lots of 22re issues,
thinking of 5.0 swap
or 350 swap? I would rather the 5.0
anyone know where I could find some
info / pricing ? I here kits are available.
but have not found any.

There was a guy on Yotatech that did the swap (Toyota v6 to Ford Mustang 5.0) several years ago. He had to make several custom parts himself (brakets, radiator, mounts, transmission adapters, drive shaft mods, etc), and he was lucky to have access to a machine shop. There were others that put in 350's and even Toyota V8's. This is a big undertaking be forwarned. There are many issues you will run into not the least of which is dealing with both metric and standard parts. If you have the time and patients its a great project, help a budy many years ago put a highly modified 351 into a 911, took about two years and man was it a rocket.

350, Buick 231 (3.8), and 4.3 are common swaps for Toys.

Also check Advance Adapters, they specialize in swaps.

I went to post this the other night and the pc crashed. I didn't feel like typing it out again...

Downey and Advanced Adapters have everything you need to do this. You just have to provide cash and elbow grease.

I plan on doing a SBC 350/ TH350 swap in my truck soon.

Downey prints a guide that tells a lot of good information. I took the liberty of scanning it last year when I started doing my research.
