so I drive lots of mountain roads in snow and ice
sometimes you don't know what is around the corner
sometimes I will put it in 4wd and exceed 50mph
but....the other day I read that we should not exceed 50mph when in 4wd
so .....am I killing something like the transfer case
guess I got in the habit by driving our work trucks,,,,,chevy and fords, of driving in 4wd over 50mph when running up and down the mountain
the fords and chevys only said no overdrive when in 4wd or when when towing
well that's how I remember it, and none of our ford or chebys still have the books in them and they got tons of miles on them.....of course maintained by others
but we never had a problem with the 4wd.....engines...electrical..smog..rattles.brakes..that's a different story
so....am I pushing it if I drive over 50mph in 4wd automatic in my yota
if so...some days...that's gonna slow me down
