5100 Install HUGE Problem/Wrong Part?

Ordered a set of 5100s online from Top Gun Customz and I was concerned when they showed up as I didn't think they were the correct part number for my 2003 4Runner. I called them twice and spoke to 2 different guys who assured me they were the exact same, just different part # and that they would fit my truck. The part number is for a 3rd Gen Tacoma and I went ahead and installed them today. Well, instead of 2.5" of lift, I think I actually lowered it. Any thoughts???

As said, what are the part numbers? Also, which setting did you put the shocks on? The snap ring should be in the highest groove if you want 2.5" lift.

Part # Front: FE-BE5-D558-TO
Rear: FE-BE5-C478-HO

They are BOTH incorrect I believe. The rear shocks don't even have the correct diameter on the lower mount, way too small. I had suspicion they were wrong, but I contacted the company's customer service twice and 2 different people told me they would work for SURE. Well, they were obviously wrong because I don't think a 96-04 Tacoma strut fits a 4th Gen 4Runner, right??? Just mildly frustrated as I wasted almost an entire day with this fiasco and now my truck is useless until I get the correct parts....

The right part numbers are:
Front: F4-BE5-C475-H0, F4-BE5-C475-H1, or 24-186711
Rear: F4-BE5-E703-H0 or 33-187174

I know the last number listed is the current part number, the others are previous ones. Those are listed to fit the 4runner or FJ Cruiser, and the new Tacomas I believe. My guess is that they are misimformed, the new Tacoma (05+) is built on the same platform as the 4runner so the shocks might be interchangeable, but definitely not the previous year Tacoma's.

I was very direct with those I spoke with and explained what application it was for, but they were obviously clueless. On the receipt it even shows that my vehicle is a 2003 4Runner, but they still sent parts for an older generation Taco. I hope what I need is in stock and they can overnight everything as I'm without a vehicle now since I already tore off the XREAS system. Why can't people just be competent and do their job, uggh. Thanks for the help Swamp.

Don't mean to discourage you, but I didn't have great luck with them. I can't recall what exactly it was that they did, but I know I had an order ready to go and called them to verify they were in stock. As said, I don't remember what happened on that call, but it was enough that I took my business elsewhere. Hopefully it works out for you.
