5100's stock springs + 1.25" spacers + 70 profile tires = rubbing?

Hey guys,

Just had a quick question: I'm looking at picking up a set of bilstein 5100's and plan on keeping the stock springs. I already have a set of 1.25" spacers on the truck and was wondering if I get bigger tires (70 profile) if the tires would rub on the inner fender or on the bumper at all. I'm planning on keeping the stock 17" sport wheels.

You are not giving us enough information. Do you have a lift installed? What is the tire width (70 profile simply means that it is 70% of the tire width)? Do you still have your mud flaps installed?

No lift installed. The tires are 265/70/17. Going to run the 5100s with stock springs.

i think what preacher is looking for is what setting the 5100's will be at. we understand stock springs, but is that at 0, .85, 1.75, or 2.5

I run Tacoma coils in the front with 5100 set at .85. Total lift about 2inches. 256.70.17 rub right before the steering lock either direction.

It depends on how high you have the shocks set at, for that sized tire. I used to have 2.5"/1.5" leveling kit with 265 70 17 tires w/17x9 -12mm offset that had some minor rubbing issues that required the wheel well liners to be moved forward.

Sorry for the lack of info. I'm a bit of a noob at all of this (my previous experience at modding cars involved lowering them. Haha!)

Either way the 5100s would be set at .85. The end result is I would love to have a mild lift. Nothing crazy as the wife drives the T4R as well.

You will probably have a tiny bit of rubbing when the steering wheel is cranked to the extreme right or left, or when you are going over a bump while turning left or right. This can, however, be corrected by moving the wheel well liners forward an inch or two.
