58" Sliders too short?

I just did a quick measure at night with little light out but the 58" sliders look to fall a little short for our 4runners. Is anybody running this length or have a opinion on whether it will work good enough?

58" may be too short to effectively protect your trucks body panels or your rocker panels from taking any hit or side impacts while off roading, most guys here who runs rock sliders choose atleast 67-68" ones.

67-68 seem long unless you lay them flat but you could be right on with that...I couldn't see that well, just got a wild hair and decided to go ahead and drop some money for some. I found a set that I like now and about to purchase.

My brother has the Savage off-road ones with the kick outs and are set at 20 degrees and I thought they were just the right length. What are you planning on getting?

I was looking at 4x Innovations with kickouts HREW will be fine for me.

Mine are 67" Trail-Gear pieces set at 20 degrees. I set them down about 3/4 inch from the body. The 58" pieces would be way too short and look out of place IMO.

So 68" would be just the ideal slider length because the measurement between the wheel well opening is 70 - 70.5"...from what I measured....yes I quickly went out and measured...ha ha!:naughty:

That's a nice pick...I believe HREW's are more than adequate and suited for non hard-core wheelers who never rock craws all the time. Even then HREW's are resilient enough.

I plan on getting CBI's when I pick up my rear bumper in a few weeks. will have pics after of course.

Can't beat the price at $234 shipped...I could barely cover the materials at around $100-$120 and don't have to hassle with finding a way to get them bent up for me.

I think the trail gears would have cost me about $200 or so shipped...you got a pretty good deal.

Make that $250.62 for me to get trail gears

I say just do what I do and leave them in your living room. It helps keep the carpet down. Much more important than being on your Runner.
